Heh. My bad. In that case, I don't think they're the same shade, either. You guys with PS are a bunch of liars!

How many times do you have to learn that lesson, Metro?

At some point it starts to look like you're doing it intentionally.

I've seen these before years ago including this one they are in fact the same color and shade.

There is also another one that is more infuriating, if I can find it anywhere, a rubiks cube sort of thing with two panels colored same but to our brain looks convincingly brown and the other bright yellow. Now that one was the kicker.

Blue tiles on left cube = yellow tiles on right cube.

Also on the same cube above the center 'yellow' panel on left shaded side equals the center 'brown' panel on top side of cube like I mentioned before.

I don't even get what the illusion is supposed to be- why is it showing us the color map at the bottom?

It is showing you the true colours of those squares; the blue and yellow squares are actually that colour.

here's the one i was talking about, finally found it:

it is a less confusing version of the one above. this one just focuses on the two middle squares they are actually same color. you can drag them away to compare for proof.

I don't know any colors in real life that get brighter when in shade.
