I always use a conditioning lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries out the leather and makes it look older. Then a moisturizer, then an anti-aging balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. ...

Four times a year, I send my shoes to San Francisco's Spa Radiance, where they get the Grand Luxe Facial--a three-hour long treatment. There, aestheticians use Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion, which gently exfoliates the leather, and Purikiss Microcurrent Disencrustation, which removes impurities, brown spots and sebum deposits (ok, go for it...). The final step is LED light therapy that promises to scale back years of sun damage and irritation.

Meanwhile, I staycation because nothing is too good for my dog boxes...

Doesn't everyone?

I am looking for a cleaner and conditioner for new AE strands before I polish.

Is there a generic cleaner/conditioner that would work just as well as the Saphir? I'm also looking at AE's own Conditioner Cleaner, but am unable to find it in town.

Did you ever find a place that sells this in Canada?

I don't want to pay Fedex or UPS some obscene "customs brokerage fee" to import this, and I'm going to buy a lot (renovateur, black, dark brown, neutral polishes)

There are some real gems on this thread. The Spa Treatment comment in particular. Really great, guys.

You're in luck. Leatherfoot in Yorkville carries Saphir, including Renovateur.
