run a quick google search for ebook torrents. I snagged 4 or 5 sites that are all books. What specifically are you looking for?

Have you tried rapidshare yet? Free accounts are slow but for a pdf it shouldn't be a problem. Just google the title followed by rapidshare.

Many libraries will lend e-books for free. I know this works with nook and might work with other services. You get the "loan" of the ebook at no charge for three weeks. Costs you nothing and the publisher and author still get some payment.

EPub right? Some e-readers don't support it though...

I've looked for a bunch of stuff to no results, but at the moment, Astonish Yourself sits pretty high... http://www.amazon.com/Astonish-Yours.../dp/0142003131

IIRC, mIRC had some huge ebook channels even a year ago. I'm sure they are still going strong. Try googling "ebooks and mirc".

I can pretty much find almost anything, because I have membership in quality warez sites, but even I couldn't find it.

The best shot you have is this place:
