anyone else have to wear a uniform for work? - Page 2

when i used to work in coffee i would only wear black band of outsiders shirts and have the buttons replaced with black mother of pearl ones; the two pairs of jeans i wore were rrl slim fit black selvage and dior black coated nightfall jeans. i ironed on my starbucks patch onto a vintage deadstock repro levi's selvage apron made for artisans and taxidermists in the early 1900s, triple dyed in indigo for maximum street cred. i wore black red wing gentleman travelers in the winter and switched them for black quoddys with a siped sole in the summer. i never made any money that year and to this day i still don't know why.

I agree with you, I like not having to think about what I'm going to wear every day for work. On the other hand, though, I wish I could wear jeans during the bulk of my waking hours.

one of the best dressed men I have ever known wore a uniform - he was a pilot and he had the basic uniform done bespoke in better fabric - midnight blue double breasted suit, dark blue tie, white shirt, and he wore monk straps. you would look at him and his "uniform" looked outstanding, and you couldn't figure out why, unless you took a really good look at it. that was brilliant.
