Barneys Warehouse Sale... - Page 2

Went today.

About one rack foot of BoO.

Designer section smaller than previous years, which is why they could stick the Chelsea Passage knicknacks in that section.

Many racks of RL Black Label sportswear in high impact colors.

I was there to look at socks and hats and squares, none of which I need and a few of which I will buy on the next to last day.

While I was there, I told one man trying on a coat that it was good to buy a coat with the little bits of thread on the sleeves, and that he could find the buttons in a packet in the inside pocket.

He didn't know, and neither did the sales associate.

I know they're temps but still.

Depressing.

I've never been - are the prices higher than they were in the actual stores? I.e., normally at the end of the sale season, they took an extra % off the last markdown - do they do that at the warehouse sale, too, or is the price back to the lowest marked price?

I was going to stop by, but I work in high-end retail, so if I wait long enough, I can get a far better % off, and can find ways to get what I what in the size I want before the public.

I think the best deals are usually the Barneys labelled clothes towards the end of the sale. One of my favorite items that ive found at the sale is a suede shirt jacket for $70-80, down from about $300-400.
