Critique my bespoke navy DB - Page 6

That is a matter of opinion , I dont share yours. I think he looks ridiculous and costume-like.

i have to admit to believing that DB's on short guys looks a bit TTH... the ornamentation of the DB ends up wearing them, rather than the other way round.

I love the jacket but I think the trousers don't have quite as smooth a line as they could...

Sone constructive criticism, (no pun intended). The overlap is too narrow, the nip in the waist non existent, the opening too high, the shoulder needs to be re done, completely, the front is sticking out and forward, back centre seam is crooked, too much drape in the trousers and too wide at knee.

Holy bespoke, it does not look promising, Batman.

Very nice shape. Jacket a touch short for my liking.

Sleeves too long, as they have been since the beginning.

Photo seems to be taken from below. The overlap and opening are very nice in my opinion. I see the nip rather clearly... Orly? Ah, that is odd isn't it... it would be interesting to see how it looks buttoned at the lower button instead. I see that now but maybe he's raising one shoulder a bit... Definitely true. Definitely too long, not even a hint of shirt cuff... not good.

Good looking suit overall. From the pics of other suits you've got, looks like your tailor is rather competent.

Actually I retract my agreement with that comment, it's not necessarily a problem of fullness in the leg (that's a matter of personal taste to a large degree), but instead it's a problem of shaping and having the trousers too long. It looks worse on his left leg than the right.

Everyone here seems to have a supercritical eye. For what it's worth, I like the fit and look of the jacket. However, the sleeves may be a bit long and the trousers definitely need further work - too much fabric flapping around, it seems - unless that's how you like them.

Sleeves are a bit to long as the others already have stated. But the shape of the jacket overall was very good. Not so excited over the pants, too much fabric as someone already stated.

Balance is good. Fit is good. Silhouette is a little "blocky" but not bad.

I would narrow the wrap and tighten the spread of the buttons for next time.

I quite like a slight stockiness to a DB silhouette, but I appreciate that's probably a minority opinion and most people prefer an elongating shape.

It looks pretty good to me as a blazer. The trousers, I would agree with a few comments further upthread commenting on a somewhat messy line.
