Beware Of Seller *intellect* - Page 3

I almost got scammed by him as well but luckily I went with my instincts and backed out of the sale because he seemed very shady to me. Originally put an offer in for a pair of jeans he was selling and he said he accepted my offer but would like to wait a day or so to see if he could get any higher offers since he just put the listing up not long before I PMed him. So I wait and then the next day he PMs me and says he can accept my offer but cannot take PayPal as a method of payment, and asks if I can do a mailed form of payment or Western Union. Obviously this triggered an alarm in my head, so I said I was unable to do that unless he provided many references from here or set up an eBay auction (this was sort of a runaround already because I knew something was up)... and he PMs me back telling me he has sold many things here before but it was a long time ago so he "doesn't remember any references." I didn't reply to that, and then the next day he PMs me to tell me that he found out his account was put on limited access for receiving a payment that was deemed "shady activity" but he was able to go through several steps to remove the limitation and was ready to go forward with the deal via PayPal. VERY questionable dude.. sorry that you got scammed DK, hopefully this guy gets what's coming to him.

Mother's email or phone # OK, but I don't see any reason to have her employment location or information on here.

He never got a a reply. Dodged a bullet with this one!

Second that. Guy tried to pull the same thing on me. Thankfully my paypal had problems. The next day, when I was ready to send, he said limit was full, had my doubts at this time as this suggests that he is not a regular buyer/seller on internet forums. Then he PMed me again saying that he could try his friend's paypal. Of cos I said fine but he has to send me an invoice specifying in detail the UMC jeans im buying and authenticity as well as condition. Never replied since. Would be glad if someone just nail this apparently multi-forums scamming d ick

you guys need to be careful about this stuff. I get being pissed about getting ripped off, but posting all this info potentially opens up the forum and some posters to litigation and possible law enforcement inquiries, if anything is to happen to the subjects.

I think the forum would welcome that.

I saw this guy posting 2 pair of Diors over in MC and I posted a 'wrong side' message. Then I saw his auction over here where the Diors where buried under 10 really inexpensive items as an add on post to his original thread, and I advised him to fix it to make them more prominent because they were such sought after items over here and would sell easily. I had just sold a pair of Diors myself and was trying to help him. Fuck. I had no idea. I'm really sorry that I had any part in this. I'm done trying to help people with their auctions. After he reposted a 3rd or 4th pair I was considering asking him if he could get a certain wash I've had my eyes on. Good luck OP. Let's keep on this MF.

I happen to live in a close proximity of eBay's paypal campus, and also know few faces at their accounts division. I'll ask if they can black list this guy's bank account, terminate his paypal account, and (if possible) make the call to his bank and get his bank account put on hold.

Does anyone know if the original poster of the OP's link have the hard copy evidence to send to paypal?

i got a hold of him. dude is seriously fucked up. he keeps saying i can't hold anything against him whether or not he's a scammer because paypal resolved all his claims before. says he's still active on all the forums he scammed. he agreed to refund me, but paypal put a limited access on his account because someone else filed a claim 2 days ago. apparently if paypal puts a hold on your account, you can still receive payments, you just can't send or refund payments. what a stupid system. why would they let him still receive payments so he can continue to scam buyers. anyways, now he has to follow all these steps to verify his account before the limitation is lifted. he sent me a bunch of screenshots to confirm he isn't lying. i figure i should at least wait till the limit on his account is lifted to see if he actually sends my money back. if not, i'm deff calling deleware police. hopefully my credit card company will take my side since paypal won't do shit.

So did he admit to scamming you? Do you have an email or screenshot of his confession?

hey op, i got ur message on nsb. i sent u a pm more than happy to help you out. too bad i don't have my own issue resolved either. i know another dude from california who got scammed also, and he's contacted delaware police. they told him that he had to report it to his local police first and have the case transferred to the delaware police. if you call them about it, i think they may take some sort of action since ur not the only one making a complaint about this Ryan character. what was the email he used for his paypal address? cos he told me he didnt have one

Call his mom at work Parents love that

oh okay. if both of you got scammed and if both of you contact the delaware police then im sure they will take the case seriously. both of you should formulate some sort of plan where you contact the delaware police one after the other. And/Or both send emails to them regarding what happened. I've contacted the Delaware Department of Justice and they were no help, although they did once help a guy get his money/sneakers back after being scammed by this Ryan guy. i lost $300 USD to this guy so I want to see him taken down whether I get my money back or not
