Nato wristbands for skinny wrists - Page 2

another vote for the maratac brand nato watch straps. i have 3 and they are great.

there's no chance you'll ever need to poke another hole in the band. the holes go all the way up so far that you could probably have a 3 inch wrist and still fasten it.

My 02 cents. I have a 7" wrist, kinda skinny. I use 20mm NATO bands on several of my larger dive style watches (39-43mm diameter without crown). I like them ok, but if I don't tuck in the extra material with some attention to detail, it just looks like a lot of strap on my wrist. I have bought a couple of smaller (36mm) watches and I got rid of them because the 18mm NATO was kind of overpowering my wrist with the small watch head. I just didn't look right.

I actually prefer the Maratac ZULU strap, it's thicker material but less of it, no extra layer and it fits nicely on my wrist. Check out broadarrow.net for those.

To get a clean end cut, you can clamp a pair of coins (quarters, unless it is a really narrow band) together over the strap where you intend to cut it. Use the coins as the template for the cut, then run a lighter or match around the cut side. The coins will shield the nylon so it does not melt too far in from the edge. I've used this method a couple of times and the altered edge comes out almost exactly like the original.

If you're looking for nylon watch straps I'd pick maratac I'm more than satisfied with my bond zulu watch strap for my seiko 009, also have a red/black watch strap for my seiko pepsi bezel bought from Gnomon...they're coo too.
