Thinking about starting an account for the upcoming NFL season.

I did this a few years with Bodog but Im not sure about the legality or issues with this anymore. Anyone have current experience with any sites?

i've used sportsbetting.com in the past. never had an issue. i was always too nervous about having tons of money in there. most i've ever had was $500-600 in there. got paid very quick which was a plus. from last season to this season, i think the banks did some shit to make it a bit harder to fund accounts, not sure about that though, but i'm probably going to load a small amount to see within the coming weeks. i haven't done my research yet, so read through this forum here. online books come and go. some are awesome to start, then taper off to no man's land. read this to see what guys are using at the moment.

oh i was thinking like just 200 max just to keep some of the games engaging. No high roller here.

Do you fund with your bank or can you use a prepaid credit card so you dont leave a paper trail?

I haven't put any money into a sports betting service online but played a lot of poker online. Last time I used a prepaid card it was declined. Only thing that worked for me was Echeck, took it out of my account on pokerstars.

echeck is the only way to fund poker. CC, prepaid or not, is basically a no go now. it probably depends on the book now and it varies a lot. it's all a crapshoot these days. edit: just checked sportsbetting. visa and mc accepted. AND i have $30 in there. wooooooo

I used to use sportbook.com. Haven't done so since the 2008 season. Might start up again. My roomate from last year still owes me like $100 and i wasn't going to ask him because i didn't want to be a dick but he used to sports bet with me a bunch and if the money was for that he'd understand. Best way to watch the nfl imo is to go to a sports bar with a friend or two each having like 3-4 bets (1 or two of them a parlay) and just watch. My 2 friends and i each had like a 2teamer, two single bets, a prop bet and one 3teamer just for fun and it was an awesome sunday. Usually the parlays are low stakes just for funzies and otherwise we're out to make money but good times. I think i closed the 2007 season up like $175 (i don't really bet high stakes as i don't have much money) but 2008 i think i was down about $50

Im still researching. There are pros and cons to all sites. Some have better lines & less juice, but the payout and fees are retarded ($50 to make a deposit? wtf?)

So still looking at suggestions. I figure my bankroll will be less than $500, so I dont wanna get bogged down in fees and charges and Id probably sacrifice a little on the line to make that happen since I aint a high roller.

moneybookers.com?

So I joined 3 places @ 300 each so I can shop around for the best odds and lines.

My favorite is 5 dimes, they have the best odds, lowest juice and can pay by Visa from the US. Im up 50% here

Bodog puts their lines up really late and has bad juice, but you can deposit by Visa easily. They have a ton of props and futures so all my money is wrapped up in those with them.

matchbook could be the best, but my payment hasnt cleared yet. bank transfer. They have good lines and low juice, but limited play. Its a Peer to peer type betting system where I can make my own lines and be the bookie.

Yea, Im kinda hooked on winning, hahah. i place some soccer bets so I can track it online at work during the day (atletico madrid won me $50 today!) and cant wait for the NFL.

If anyone is interested in signing up Ill gladly give you my referral codes

Put the biggest bet of my life on Pitt tonight... $30 split among the moneyline, and the +3 spread. Then I saw the spread went to +3.5 and I dropped $30 on that to hedge my bets.

After the most stressful game of my life the game ended with Pitt losing by 3. So I basically ended up winning $2. NOt as good as winning $65, but not as bad as losing $60. Whewe.

So far this year Im up $200 on preseason football, socccer and some baseball based off my initial deposti of 300. Good times.

I bet horses as my primary means of income. I use xpressbet mainly but also youbet.

I can tell you, you can forget using a mastercard funding your account for the most part. You play as much as I play, payment / withdrawal methods are extremely important and also customer service. You will have issues at some point, call and check each one out.

I love xpressbet, I use it basically like a bank account. I can walk into virtually in major horse track in the country and pull money out of my account just like an ATM within minutes. That is very important to me.

People bet money on preseason football? I don't even see how that is possible given that half the teams arent even trying to win.

Sh!t's illegal. At some point the gov. is going to actually enforce the law. I wouldn't want to have a paper trail of an account. That's why I just tell my buddy to place bets for me.
