Not at all sure about this. With my own breed of choice, the Tosa, the dog-aggression and fight drive is usually there, no matter what the training and socialization. As one friend of mine says, "You can't take the point out of the pointer."

That's accurate. They are called "drives" and all dogs have the same number of drives but the strength of the individual drive varies from breed to breed and dog to dog.

Unlike people who fall back on training when put into stressful situation(s) dogs can have all the training you want to give them but when placed under stress they will revert back to their drives.

Not really.

You can take a genetically stable well-bred dog and beat the shit out of it as a puppy and it will bounce back once you begin to treat it fairly. The abused, abandoned dogs that make decent adoptees in shelters prove this every day. Conversely, you can take a genetically unstable dog (officially know as a "bag of nerves") and raise it with love, treats and puppy kisses, and the moment it feels threatened or cornered it will lash out.

In terms of temperament genetics are paramount.

I believe that dogs are like their owners they will carry your traits if your lazy then they will be. Just like the guy with the shiba inu it snapped at a kid after its been around kids before, and the owner snapped at don carlos for no reason after hes been around people all his life.

Oh, I don't know: I don't chase madly after squirrels, and I don't want to engage in mortal combat with every big, tough guy I encounter (which would be idiotically stupid at my season of life...of course it would be at any time, but especially so now).
