A serious loss. Maybe my favorite rock n roll drummer aside from Levon Helm.

Great drummer. RIP

(Sigh) Little Feat.

I didn't immediately cotton on to this (I actually heard it was Ritchie Havens at first - which would be all kinds of loss as well). I read an interesting Obit for him, and I was honestly surprised.

I'd been a fan of Little Feat for many years (I swear, Spanish Moon activated some sort of recessive 'funk' gene in me, when I first heard it) but I never knew of his Canadian connections. It was not until I read this in the paper, that I figured it all out:

Do you seriously troll the web looking for news of dead people?

No dickbrain. But I frequent some music/entertainment sites and mailing lists. And I do religously check the NYT obit page.

Great drummer, great band. I really liked the live album with the Tower of Power horns, Waiting for Columbus.
