If on a date and the girl is under 21, are you allowed to order alcohol?

If you're say 21, and the girl is 19 (or vice-versa), is it rude to order alcohol for yourself? Common sense tells me so, but I've heard weird things since joining this forum.

Alcohol laws are for bitches. Order for both of you. No real restaurant is going to care especially if one of you is legal.

I see nothing wrong with having a drink or two with dinner. For example, I'll have a drink or two with dinner, even though MrsG isn't because she's pregnant. However, it should really stop with a drink or two. Getting faced while your date sits and watches would be considered poor form. I.e. don't live out your nickname on the date (or any other Hank Jr. song, for that matter).

it should be fine as long as you dont get wasted as mr.g said. that being said, most restaurants i have been to dont even check my id.

If you do order, definitely order for both of you. You don't want her to be thinking "wtf, is my date trying to get himself drunk?" The problem with this is some restaurants card if you look young. Then you'll be in a pretty embarrassing situation.

Not getting alcohol would be playing it safe. Nevertheless, I still say go ahead and order.

if you are 19 and she is 21, why are you not wooing her in her parents' basement while they're out of town with a pony keg you bought for her and her 3 closest friends? You're taking her to a restaurant? You're doing it wrong.

19-21 y/o going on dates and at the restaurant no less is the sign of the complete collapse of western civilization. Finger her in your bedroom you feg!@

Order a bottle of wine. Problem solved. I'd say it's probably not rude but awkward to order yourself a drink and leave your poor date drinking a coke. However, be careful. If you get someone drunk, and then some sort of fucked up shit happens (rape allegations, she decides she hates you, etc.) then buying her booze is going to come up and you will be in deep shit.

buy a 6 pack of pabst blue ribbon, order a pizza and fingerbang her in your room.

cheaper and way more fun.

I would actually encourage you to order a drink.

This is good advice, and not just for dating under 21s. All women are inherently unstable, regardless of age.

i take the youngins to a place they know me well and wouldn't ever consider carding anyone at my table. it also helps when idiot friends lose their IDs.
