watching the midnight show, actually excited to see a comic book movie totally faithful to its source material, and edgar wright is usually on point. i'm guessing since it's taken this long for a proper thread that there's not too many fans?

just came back. totally loved it. really faithful to the comic's tone and characters. it was like a nerd had prayed to hollywood and they had listened.

the soundtrack is really amazing. i don't remember the last movie soundtrack i bought, but the music in the film for scott's band, sex bob-omb, was written by beck, who channels some really grungy garage rock sounds, whereas the more "mainstream" clash at demonhead performs a really catchy song by metric. it also includes plumtree's "scott pilgrim" song that inspired the creation of the character, as well as other in-film music by broken social scene.

Saw this tonight not knowing anything about the comic and must say I really enjoyed. I agree the soundtrack was great. I also really liked the humor. Definitely going to check out the comic.

This was my read too. Which is why I would rather punch myself in the face then watch it.

Wanna see this. Cera is annoying, but Wright hasn't disappointed me yet.

so sick of this little pussy being cast in the same rold over and over.

Would probably have preferred that Eisenberg kid from Zombieland for the rold, kunk?

^yes, i much prefer him in the slightly wimpy jewish roles.
