The Os tied against the Yanks in the season series which is the first tie breaker. The second is record within the division. Even if the Rays swept us, we would have a better record in the division. Of course, if the Os were swept, the BoSox would have to sweep the Yanks as well to make this happen. teacha.gif

EDIT: But you realize that in case of a tie for a division title or, a second place WC berth, there is a playoff game to determine the winner. The tie breaker simply means you get to play at home.

Tillman was not bad last night. He made three pretty bad mistake pitches, but overall he was solid. Also, Longoria just was not missing last night.

Rough loss, but frankly, the way those guys pitched, the O's were lucky to steal one. That pitching was incredible, all three games.

Alright O's fans, tomorrow night right here in Arlington we'll see what your team has got. One game to rule them all.

My Rangers have looked like shit over the past week but we have Yu on the mound and the home crowd will hopefully be in the game early.

Well, it's more like one game to rule as the team that won the play-in game to represent the Wild Card position as the more deserving of the second-place teams.

I'm cheering for the Orioles in the AL playoffs, as I used to live in their media market. (My normal AL team, the Twins, fell just short this year.) But I swear, if they keep wearing those black softball jerseys with the ridiculous "O's" caps, I will defect to the Tigers. (I will not cheer for the Yankees irregardless.)
