Deserves her own threak. Favorite albums? I love to play The Hissing of Summer Lawns on long drives. Her work with Jaco Pastorius and Michael Brecker is 100% solid.

Isn't she kind of old news--ancient, in fact, at this point? I liked her very much circa 1971, but that was a long time ago.

You would be correct. I saw her often in the early 1970s

My friends with The Little Ole Band from Texas are pretty current compared to Joni.

BTW A Free Man in Paris was her iconic song IMO.

The 'Shadows and Light' album. It's up there in my top 10, along with Steely Dan's 'Aja'

I saw her walking with her daughter down Main Street in Vancouver not long ago. As unassuming as you could ever imagine.
