In front of the Casino Royale there's a divey 'rock and roll bar' - skankiest bartenders in town. It's great.

seriously. i was there couple of years ago i was at the roulette table and this one girl kept playing next to me rubbing up against me and crap. hell man! she was rude too. like the "i starve for your attention " kind of thing (yes yes, im not just flattering myself, it was true) all making certain comments and stuff getting her chips intentionaly mixed up with mine placing her drink near my elbow and such (she wasnt drunk) being really belligerent towards me for no apparent reason for the half hour she was there until i got up and left.
at another table another day, this other young gal kept smiling at me from across the roulette table as i played. smiling at everything. i know i was hot, but sheesh. awkward.

to the OP. never been to vegas?

try this one thing.

place a grand on one bet. black jack or a color on roulette. craps or whatever.

either win or lose. you win? you spend the next couple of days on a grand treating yo friends.
you lose? well, that is an experience that will grow some hairs on your chest. man up.

it is a rush of adrenalin. trust me

Still think OP should do a serach. When I made my first trip, a couple of years ago, several forum tips proved to be very good. Rosemary's was probably the best tip. Sunday night, prix fixe, 50% off bottles. Costs just a little more to get foie

go to world series of poker and go ALL-IN your whole 10,000 buy-in on your first hand.

either go up 20,000 or go home broke.

Ive been to vegas a few times but never on NYE. DOnt buy tickets online imo, first theyre not always legit, second sometimes theyre more expensive than admission fees, and youd still have to wait in line for hours with them anyway. Clusb sometimes distribute those passes for free, check with your hotel. EIther go wait in line or reserve a table if youre willing to spend the money. Id imagine NYE would be bad for that, so maybe do the clubs thing another night. Id suggest getting an independant host to set it up since even if you agree to the club on terms theyl bump you off the table sometimes for larger groups and stuff. As for shows, see Ka or O or Reve.

the first thing you do to initiate yourself at vegas is go to the slot machine that takes the 500 dollar chips?

max it out at four $500 chips and take a one spin. either you win or lose. that's it.

I have been twice and was bored to tears both times. I haven't been since it's become a food destination. I might enjoy it now.

I can empathize with you on this one. I've been three times this year, but it just gets more boring each time. I need to ignore the allure of comped suites.

Downtown Vegas is pretty cool if you spend all your time on the strip.
