I was in the Filson store in Portland this weekend. They have S, M, and L in stock for those who might be looking. Not sure if they ship or not. Full pop on the price of course: $198.

Still really like this jacket. May have to break down, but would love to be able to find a slightly better deal...

Not to open this discussion, just adding measurements for an XL, which are apparently nowhere on the nets. It is similar to my rigid levi's jean jacket, which has 1" longer arms.

Shoulders: 20"
P2P: 22.5"
Arms (S2C): 25"
Length: 26.5"
Waist: 21" (~38" with tabs)

I'm a measured 44" chest / 42 suit size, and the XL worked for me. Any smaller and the arms would be comically small and back too tight. The material is stiff so it tends to look boxy if you have it unbuttoned, even though it's relatively slim. I am 6'2 so I needed the arm length.

Does anyone know how the 505 fit? And how is the construction?

I'm looking for a unbreakable pair of chinos (of sorts) that I can wear most of the jeans...

A late reply, but I just tried these on today. I would describe the fit as a true "slim straight". By this I mean the thighs are moderately slim, and the leg flows more or less straight from there to the hem. Based on my sizing, I'd have to say a size 32" measures aprx. 32.5" in the waist, w/ ~11.75" thighs, and according to the Levi's site, they leg opening is ~8.5, which seems right. Would be awesome if the leg opening was 1/2 an inch smaller, but oh well. According to Filson sales rep, minimal waist shrinkage, but .5-.75" shrinkage in length. Very little stretch.

As for construction they are made in the US, w/ Filson as a partner so I'd have to trust it as super solid. And the Filson guarantee is great--bring them/send them to a store and the will fix or replace. Someone can correct me if I'm misstating that.

I really like these for a simple, chino-like pant in a 5-pocket style/cut. Great fabric that will wear well over time, and has a DWR so it will shed light rain (and spilled coffee) easily--at least for the first 20 washes....

Anyone know if there's a code for Levi's site that would bring down the price? I think $150 is a good price overall, but I'm a cheap ass so I'm always looking for a better deal.

Thank you for some insight.

I figured they were up to Filson standards, but I just wanted to know about the fit. I doesn't sound like the perfect fit for me, so I'll just wait and see if I can find them for cheap.

Any idea how the Tin Cloth Sawtooth shirt fits?

Are the 505s only in Filson/Levis stores or can you find them elsewhere? I'd like to grab some, but want to try them on first.
