Leggings have got to stop

That's all I'm seeing on women nowadays. They even go out in leggings. The fact that they give a great glimpse at a woman's figure is both beneficial and disgusting, depending on the wearer.

However, this thread is not about how well it does or doesn't make women look. This thread is where I vehemently oppose their wear in place of regular clothing in social gatherings.

I don't usually notice them unless I see a woman wearing them with something longer, like a dress. That just makes me want to go

When and how did this trend start, anyhow?

I think laziness. It's been told to me that they're more comfortable than jeans. It's the equivalent of men wearing baggy sweatpants. Sure, some guys pull it off, but most look like fat slobs.

Yeah. Leggings are terrible. You know what else I hate? Cleavage. I mean, come on. Get a life! EVERYBODY is doing the cleavage thing now. It's played out, and it has got to stop.

But I feel so sultry and seductive when I'm wearing my finest leggings.

they are okay, but also show a woman didn't try too hard that day. . .we all have those kind of days though

and i agree they are getting quite excessive

Wtf is wrong with leggings?

I have a few dresses that are too short to be worn alone or with stockings. Leggings are the perfect accessory to these items, providing i'm wearing some kind of tall boots with them to cover up the bottom. The reasons for this are simple:

A) Men are too stupid to know I'm actually wearing leggings, considering they look like very opaque stockings (though much safer and more comfortable).

and B) It looks fucking hot.

tomgirl, the point is that most people who wear leggings are wearing them out of laziness, not looks. You may wear yours with care, but a lot of people are wearing them with a baggy top and exposed lower legs.

If you're talking about cropped leggings, I totally understand.

What's the rationale behind cropped leggings, anyway?
