I'm going to get a racing bike (thin frame and wheels) next week. Any recommendations on what'll look good? Pictures welcome.

What is that? Its interesting that they haven't brushed or sandblasted off the heat marks from the welding. Those heat marks look pretty substantial for a high-quality ti tubeset...was it a first effort?

Cannot recall the name but some AMAZING-looking Japanese handmade racing bikes are frequently featured in Monocle.

It's a Speedvagen and its steel. Designed and fabricated in The Vanilla Workshop. I don't have many hi-res shots of the details, but plenty can be found here:

Its a clear powdercoat over the raw steel that is first bead blasted. I think the heat marks are re-touched after the process for consistency. It was this year's "Surprise Me" color scheme.

It really doesn't matter what "stylish" bike you get. If you're not built like a cyclist, you're not gonna look good on it.

You should consider titanum. Light(though carbon may be lighter, my cycling days are over), slim frame and definitely stylish. You can look for SevenCycles, Merlin, Litespeed, Serotta and others.
