Yeah, but for a girl that doesn't usually lift weights, she may just be better off increasing her protein intake.

Don't know how much fat to lose but she is 5'7" 140. I want her to get down to 125 to 130 range. Haha. It's hard for me to estimate body fat on girls. She doesn't always eat clean (she loves pasta) so that doesn't help.

Thanks. I will have her do some circuit training with dumbbells to help her preserve muscle mass.
