"How do you get these women?!"

Last night I took a date to an Italian restaurant I frequent, and on a trip to the men's room was pulled aside by one of the staff, a younger guy I've chatted with off-and-on over the years, usually about cars. He says "I always see you with beautiful women - how do you do it?" I've had this happen before over the years, and I've yet to settle on a good response (not an honest one, like "Err, you're gross and I'm not."). I usually go with a lie (This is such a hassle - my mom keeps fixing me up with these losers!) Has this happened to SFers? How do you respond?

Exactly - it's like when someone asks "Whoa, what do you do for a living?" after seeing your house, car or something. They're expecting you to say that there's some small, trivial trick to life that they missed and it will make all the difference. "I do everything the same thing as you, but when I brush my teeth, I go side to side instead of up and down."

Sort of surprised at the responses. I'd have thought at least some SFers had gotten this before.
