Tyler Durden - Page 2

If you have a rock hard six pack, go for it. Just as an aside, I had a shirt exactly like that in 7th grade... just so you know that some people out there may not read "Tyler Durden" , but "middle school geek" on your shirt choice at any rate.

Actually, I've read arguments supporting both that he did and did not commit the murders.

OK, I'll bite - who is the 'other TD'?

The other Tyler Durden is one of the so-called PUA's (pick-up artists) who are described in the book, The Game by Neil Strauss (aka Style).

He's also the founder of a company called Real Social Dynamics that hosts seminars for guys to teach them how to pick-up women. Sort of a real-life version of Hitch from the movie of the same name - although from what I can tell, these guys don't treat women as well as Will Smith's character did in the movie.

Milano - here's a link to the article talking about how TD can no longer pick up women. The link to Tyler's website doesn't appear to work anymore, but it did used to lead to an article apparently written by TD himself about the whole issue.

That's funny. I can see it now.

Seminar Rule 17(b)(iii): When approaching women, it is best to adopt the name of a famous fictional character. I use Tyler Durden. My crew is made up of Hannibal Lecter, Michael Corleone and Sherlock Holmes. If you use any of those names, we'll kill you. Still available, but only on a first-come first-serve basis to Real Social Dynamics clients are: Ricky Bobby, Nicholas Nickleby and Santa Claus.
