Just ordered my test shirt, hoping they are willing to send me samples of the 8 fabrics out of ~1200 I have interest in. First one will be a dress/work shirt fit and once I have that perfected I will do a casual untucked fit to wear with jeans etc.

Hello, no worries here. Just want to explain to you that our system is setup so that customers can decide whether they want their designs to show up or not. We get hundreds of orders per day but very small % of customers want to show case their design. We would love to show more but some are very protective of their design. I think of course they want to be unique and that's the most important value of Moderntailor MTM custom tailoring service - we let customers be as creative as they want to be.

I love how people on here complain about not getting a coupon for one month "because I was going to order more shirts" or "I have to join facebook to get the coupon this month?".

These people trying to save a few measly dollars and complain loudly about it are the ones probably buying $8 frapuccino's at Starbucks but they want MTM shirts for clearance rack prices.

Oh, and the "I used to get my shirts in 10 days or whatever" crowd that can't possibly wait another minute to find out which truck/train/plane their package is on while it is traversing the Chinese countryside is getting old as well.

Greedy...

I want to try out their shirts but I have no idea what to order. I like a bunch of their fabrics but not sure whats the style of collar, cuffs etc etc.

Any suggestions?

I always select show case my design so others can see in better details the fabric and finished shirt. I guess for the sold out fabrics that they won't be getting back isn't probably worth the effort in showcasing? But often I find it handy in making fabric choices. For me as a rule I generally only go for the 2-ply 100% cotton fabrics.

p.s. Emma, with the sales and so on your probably really busy to reply to all PM/emails but would appreciate a response to my suit questions?

Thanks.

I was rewearing my trial shirt, the inexpensive fabric for $20. I washed it once, maybe twice. When I wear the shirt it wrinkles making the fabric effectively shorter. Is this common for the low quality material? My goal is to understand how this will affect shirts ordered in the future in regard to length.

Am I the only who thinks it's a dumb idea to end the sale on the 19th? I don't mean the end of the day on the 19th but the seconds it it's 12:00 am on the 19th the sale ended. Lol kinda annoyed was just about to order like 4 shirts, is there a discount code for November so this isn't a total loss?

They should leave the sale up just for those that procrastinate.

Saw those sale fabrics last weekend, and decided to order a bunch of stuff all at once. I have only ordered one shirt from MT (needed some minor adjustments, but most of it was due to faulty measuring... the shirt itself was great!). My wife has ordered two shirts in the past and they are the best ones she owns now!

The quality and pricing is excellent at MT. I'm a convert from Ricky/Jantzen and the service/price/quality is WAY better at MT.

For just under $500, we ordered:
-1 pr mens pants (cotton) - this is a trial pair, before I start ordering more expensive wool pants. These will be an excellent casual pair
-5 ladies shirts
-5 mens shirts
-2 ties (free)
-2 cufflinks (free)
-2 fabric books (free) - didn't really want these, but the $10 coupons will be useful.

The $500 includes shipping (used two of the $10 coupons also). Approximately 10 upgrades were ordered amongst the shirts (some have MOP buttons, some have monograms, etc.) All except the pants were $32.97 and $34.97 sale fabrics.

Looking forward to an excellent set of clothing at a reasonable price. Once it arrives, I'm going to order more trousers (wool)

Just thought I'd share my experience.. I will share the outcome when everything arrives, but I expect it to be excellent as usual.

The website stated that the sale ran until the 19th. I would expect that the sale would still be in effect on the 19th. If he were complaining that the sale had ended the second the date switched to 20th, then I could understand your comment.

This was my issue. The sale supposedly was valid xx-19th. This would seem to be inclusive, meaning the sale should have still been going until the 19th ended.

I checked around 10pm (Pacific Standard Time) on the 18th and the sale had ended.

I ordered a couple shirts on the 17th during the fall sale. I got an email today (19th) saying that one of the shirt fabrics I chose has sold out. They asked me to find an alternative at the same price point, which of course there aren't any because the sale is now over. Hopefully they will let me choose a fabric that was on sale when I had placed my order. Still waiting for them to get back to me on the matter.

Lmao sexy express WTF is that ???? Did a google search on it - all that comes up is vaguely porn related things; typed in the website they gave for tracking (http://www.sxyexpress.cn/) - apparently it doesn't even exist. Why do they claim to use FedEx and DHL if they end up using some random ass Chinese outfit???????? I hate having things shipped through these dodgy Asian companies (EMS, TNT, etc) and now these people have managed to find yet another one. The only reason why I put through an order with them was because apparently they offered good shipping but honestly if it ain't here in a couple days I'm just gonna chargeback their asses and they can get for all I care I was already getting irritated by their dodgy customer service.
Sounds more like a racist rant. If you don't like things from some random ass Chinese outfit, why are you even bother buying from a Chinese company? Better yet, why are you buying anything from China? And, EMS is a dodgy company? And UPS and FedEx are not? Do you realize how much shit those UPS/FedEx drivers steal? You are clueless.

He doesn't believe that the shipping companies used by moderntailor are efficient or reliable. Do you really think that the shipping companies that Moderntailor uses are as good as DHL or FedEx? Come on, it doesn't have anything to do with race, it has to do with the quality of a company and their reputation. DHL and FedEx have world-wide operations that are used by more people/business in the world than any other companies.

Are you sure you aren't trying to find racism in what other say? You can usually find what you seek. Give it a rest!
Trying to find racism? Hahaha. That's a good one, Harley. I think remarks such as "random ass Chinese outfit" or "dodgy Asian companies" were on point. I don't see why this alexdunhill couldn't just write "random ass outfit" or "dodgy companies." alexdunhill was too upset against the Chinese or Asians for not delivering his Chinese-made clothing. The fact that these companies are based in China or Asia (this is a good one since alexdunhill is now generalizing Chinese with all of Asia) are automatically sketchy. Don't believe me? Then why was EMS even mentioned in his racist rant? EMS is just as reliable as the "American" USPS.
Why is that there's so much racism against Asians or Chinese on this forum? But, none against the Europeans or Euro-Americans? Or when a racist remark is posted against Asians, people like you defend it with statements such as "Give it a rest" or "You're overreacting."
