I try to explain as thoroughly as I can. Usually something like this: Please move the buttons in the button-down collar 1cm more apart (towards the sleeves, away from the center). What you said would work. While they are based in China, their customer support are native English speakers, so there shouldn't be any problems communicating with them.

However, if I were you, I'd order one default shirt and see if you yourself want to move those buttons. It's very personal and different people want the collar to fold differently. It's also easy to move them yourself. Oh, and make sure you specify the collar to be SOFT, otherwise it will be too stiff.

How about fabric p253? Again, it's a little hard to tell what the finished product will look like, but this might be closer to something you're looking for.

Is White Piquet off-white, or is Piquet a type of weave (like twill)?

I'm excited about receiving my first shirts. This is a great deal. Very surprised how expensive shipping was. Granted it is goign around the world

I'm very surprised there are companies trying to make a profit...

I love how people on here complain about not getting a coupon for one month "because I was going to order more shirts" or "I have to join facebook to get the coupon this month?".

These people trying to save a few measly dollars and complain loudly about it are the ones probably buying $8 frapuccino's at Starbucks but they want MTM shirts for clearance rack prices.

Oh, and the "I used to get my shirts in 10 days or whatever" crowd that can't possibly wait another minute to find out which truck/train/plane their package is on while it is traversing the Chinese countryside is getting old as well.

I received my test shirt and the fit is pretty awesome (based off of a good fitting shirt).


There's one huge problem regarding the collar though. For some reason, the collar (normal collar, medium size), sticks out rather than staying flat....what's the reason for this?

I have that on 1 or 2 shirts with a cut-away collar. I've started asking them to make the points longer and keeping the height the same and it seemed to help.

I like modern tailor and made another order. But the polka dots are cracking me up. Maybe you are interviewing at a circus?

Question: Does the collar stiffness effect the roll of the collar? Is there a best choice for a nice collar roll?

I'm naturally impatient, so I always whine about shipping no matter how fast or slow it is. One would think I would just buy things from stores so I could have them instantly instead of shopping online and waiting for delivery...too bad I have trouble finding clothes that fit me OTR. Not sure why you felt the need to complain about other people discussing shipping trends...seems like a perfectly normal thing to write about. Nevertheless, I'm a loyal MT customer, have bought 20+ shirts from them, will continue to buy from them, and will continue to recommend them to anyone in the market for a good MTM shirt for a great price. And no, I have never spent $8 on a cup of coffee.

I've now had 2 emails from MT about fabrics I've chosen being sold out, I must have great taste!

These are all my favorite parts about these MT threads. Ever notice how MT only shows examples of customer shirts for the cheapest fabrics?

What's your problem with MT and MT-dedicated threads? I'm perfectly happy with their shirts, fabric selection and their customer support, and would recommend their service to anyone. If you hate everything MT so much then just stop clicking on these topics.
