After checking the other companies moderntailor uses for their expedite shipping I found that my package was not sent through dhl as it states in the website. Instead the used Haokuda Logistics http://sha.hkdexpress.net/index.htm . I hope this helps other people. So far it only shows the date the package was recieved and the status is in transit to Mexico.

I have laundered this and all others from my order at least 5 times (cold wash and air dry).

 

 

Measurements in inches-

Collar: 15.75

Half Chest: 20.88

Half Waist: 18.25 (thinking this may be a bit to snug compared to chest)

Half Hip: 20

Sleeve: 24.75

Half Bicep: 7

Cuff: 8.5

Yoke: 17

Shoulder: 5.5

*Also going to add a bit on the arm holes as they are a bit snug.

I've had the same issue with the shoulders since I started using MT and still no solution. I've tried saying I had a straight back then average, and also tried adjusting to flat shoulder. 

Maybe we should email MT and ask for their suggestions. 

And yes if you want to adjust the shoulders you should adjust the yoke measurement. Personally i dont even input should measurements and just let the collar and yoke measurements dictate my shoulders.

I've received 3 shirts from Modern Tailor so far, and with the exception of the first which my measurements not correct, they are excellent shirts.

Awaiting shipments of these.

I also got a shirt from cottonwork, and fit and quality are nearly identical to my untrained eye.

I'll be getting a couple of suits, not sure if I'll go with Modern Tailor or Dragon Inside. OTR looks like crap on me, even after tailoring...

MT suits are half canvas, start at ~$300+shipping/duty/taxes, Dragon Inside are full canvas, and start at $480CDN including shipping/duty/taxes. A bit of a toss up.

I probably should have taken a picture of this shirt untucked but...

- I received my trial shirt today.

- The time from placing the order to receiving the shirt was about 23 or 24 days, depending on how you consider late-night orders.

- The trial shirt material seems to be some tinted version of butcher paper.

- Overall, the fit isn't that bad.

   - (I think) the arm holes are slightly too narrow, so that would need to be adjusted.

   - (I think) the arms themselves are slightly too wide.

   - (I think) the body is just a touch wide (from the back picture, you can see that I actually don't have as much of a love-handle situation as the front shots suggest).

   - (I think) the draping would be solved by a better, softer material.

   - (I think) the wrinkles to the left and right of the collar (on the shoulders) that other people seem to have noticed as well, are caused by the actual collar being taller than the inner collar allows (I don't know the proper tailoring terms).

Is this just due to fabric shrinkage? What measurement should I alter to adjust the elbow allowance without just making the sleeve more billowy in general? Bicep? Can I just specify in the order comments that I'd like the elbow to have a certain diameter?

If you have one shirt that fits really well, maybe not one they made, you could send it to them to duplicate.
