Just ordered my first shirt from MT. Got the Blue Oxford with MOP Thick Buttons for 25 bucks plus 10 bucks shipping.

Used a Tyrwhitt Extra Slim Fit which fits me quite well to input the measurements.

I will report back here with my experience regarding shipping time, fabric quality, and fit.

I just put in my order for my for my first shirt, basing it off one that fits reasonably well. It looks like there might be a bit of a wait time, but I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I'm expecting as much. I'm just waiting for it to come for the sizing check, but I have quite a queue of a designs that I already plan to get.

I did try to email them about three days ago (before placing my order) and again today, but I received no response. I'm not exactly concerned because I figure they'll get to me in time, but I have two questions...

1.) Don't they claim to be available via email 24 hours a day (I used the email address/link they provided)?

2.) Is there any reason their response might be delayed presently?

1. Yes

2. Chinese New Year, where everyone normally takes 2 weeks (and in some instances up to a whole month) off work. Having researched this in more depth was very educational.

I had emailed them sometime last week inquiring WTF's up and finally heard from them yesterday. In their response they never even mentioned the holiday, simply stating nonchalantly that they've been waiting on some fabric to proceed with my order. It's puzzling that they chose to seemingly hide the significance and impact of this holiday which they -- entirely understandingly -- take very seriously.

Different cultures, I guess...

I should add that just yesterday I was talking with a friend of mine who works for a large american company in the baby clothes business that sources a large chunk of their products from China.

She giggled at how common this is during the Chinese New Year. She says she plans her supply very carefully around the holiday, and if she doesn't get the goods shipped out in time, she's just shit out of luck for at least 2 weeks -- they literally just drop off the grid. Apparently her company maintains backup suppliers in Bangalore, India, from where she is currently getting her goods until China gets back to work.

I realized after posting that that that might be the case ("that" thrice, but on purpose?). Thanks. I'll just wait.

Just to update: They never replied to any of my emails, and I feel that trying again would feel pathetic. Luckily, I bought some other shirts this week (from elsewhere) that will be here tomorrow and distract me.

I agree with you.....I've emailed them twice to no avail.  My order has been stuck in "process order" for over 10 days and last time it took less than 2 days.  No email response or anything and I have a large order in the system but may think twice with all the lack of communication.

They finally replied to my emails, but they took over a week to do so. They also said that it's on schedule to be delivered within the standard timeline, but I doubt it based on its current status.

In the meantime, I dropped a clean four figures worth of orders through BB for some of their ESF shirts. Not only did they reply, but I received them before MT even answered.

I placed my order on february 14th, and I was getting a little worried because it was taking a long time, until 2 days ago that they sent me an email saying that had shipped the shirt. I've tried to track the package on the dhl website since then but it says that there's no info available for that numer, does anybody know if that's normal?

I tried tracking on the FedEx website after reading your post but nothing shows there either. I hope the shirt gets here soon.
