Those are nice-looking coats. I'm guessing that there wasn't a Black Friday promotion today.

I'm going to order my first MTM shirt through Modern Tailor. Does anyone have any advice regarding Modern Tailor regarding certain fabrics, sizing, or anything else before I pull the trigger?

Any voucher coupons?

I'm planing on trying the shirts from Modern Tailor. It's a long thread to read, but if someone can tell me how good the fabrics are, I will appreciate it. Making a comparison, their fabrics would be similar to what famous brand (Hugo Boss, Zegna, etc)?

Thanks in advance.

I just bought my first shirt from modern tailor. I really wanted a shirt that my bespoke tailor was out of the fabric and I found a similar one on modern tailor. It was a more expensive shirt and was one that they imported so I can only speak to this kind but it was around the same price as low end bespoke and around the same quality as well. Which is definitely better bang for you buck than buying from designers with big names.

I read some reviews online and it does look like they aren't the best at taking your body measurements and making a shirt from it. Too long/short tight/loose. What I did was measure one of my shirts and choose that as my measurement selection. It came to me perfect. I would suggest to anyone measuring their best fitting shirt.

Just ordered two shirts, I don't like any of the free ties. Can I have the equivalent amount credited for my next purchase or for expedited production instead?

Hmm not something we considered yet as many customers do appreciate getting the ties as gifts.
We can offer expedite production per shirt in this case - but only on special request :-) and quoting this reply - sales@moderntailor.com :-)

I usually get standard shipping on my orders. Even though they provide tracking numbers for the Chinese shippers, I usually don't check the shipment as either the shipper will fail to update the tracker after the item has been registered or it'll just stop updating once it leaves China.

I requested expedited shipping via DHL on my most recent order and even though I received a tracking number some four or five days ago, the DHL tracking page can't find a shipment with the number I was provided.

At this rate the transit time will be the same as the standard shipping option but I'm out the money I spent to have this expedited.

Fair warning to those contemplating.

^ yup, had this same problem. Now I know to stick to standard shipping and expect it in 3 weeks time.

Dear Modern Tailor --

After over 12 separate orders with you, I have noticed a pattern that when the order is shipped via XTX, the order seems to be untrackable with the tracking number provided by you via email (and visible under the "Order List" tab on your site) and the order takes a lot longer to arrive than orders that are shipped with ALDex, whose web site seems to provide tracking information more reliably. Is this a known fact to you? If not, perhaps you should consider standardizing your shipments with ALDex for a more consistent customer experience.

Currently I have an order shipped via XTX on December 12 that has yet to arrive, while subsequent orders placed after that date that shipped via ALDex have already arrived. I have already contacted sales@moderntailor.com for help with an update to that particular order.

hey all,
I'm new hear and joined this site for some solid fashion knowledge. I got my first MT shirt and stupidly used my body measurements and not a well fitting shirt. Well even with my measurements they made the shirt entirely to big, nearly 5 inches added to the waist from what I entered in. I took the blame for not using a shirt and asked to try again at the "new customer" price, but to no avail I haven't heard back. From what I've been reading they aren't very good when your looking for help AFTER the purchase. Oh well fingers are crossed for a swift reply.
