I just received 4 modern tailor shirts today. They are great. In all, I have received or have on order 35 shirts. It took a couple of tries to get the measurements correct, mostly my fault but there was some excess shrinkage too. I have given some of the shirts away that didn't fit me correctly.
I expected the process to take a couple of tries to get it right. The good thing is that modern tailor has been great to work with and has made price adjustments along the way to make things fair. I have absolutely no complaints. Their fabrics are very good, not fantastic, but them I'm not paying $200 plus per shirt. If I have ordered a fabric and then they come back and say it is out of stock, they work to make it right.
My recommendation is to order one shirt, make adjustments, order another until you get it right. It will probably take two or three tries. But isn't that what it would take with a custom tailoring job? There are always several fittings and changes that are made along the way.
I am a happy customer and plan to purchase more shirts.

To make me really happy they would need to discount shipping on second, third, etc. shirts, but otherwise they are my go-to. Better fabrics for the price than CW or MyTailor.
Got my first MT shirt the other day. Ordered a white 2-ply with blue thin stripes. Shipping time was very good, and they sent a pic of the completed shirt. Shirt turned out good overall. My measurement were hasty, and it showed: the yoke/shoulders were too wide, and the neck was a full inch too large (again, my mistakes in measuring). I shrunk the shirt using hot water and drying it on high, and I wore it today and was pretty happy with it overall. I won't be buttoning the neck, but for casual wear it's fine. Edited my measurements and ordered my second shirt a few minutes ago! I would recommend doing the $20 trial shirt for your first try, I was lucky that mine turned out slightly large vs. too small.
What have been people's experiences with the shirts shrinking? I just sent my first shirt out to be laundered and pressed and get it back tomorrow. I have ordered half a dozen already -- I got a little too excited -- and they fit pretty tight already. I hope I haven't screwed all these up. I knew I should test it after laundry but got carried away.
No, as I inferred in my post, if you view measurements of a past order, it will show you whatever measurements are in that measurement profile. So if you changed the profile, it will not accurately reflect the measurements you actually used for that order.
We're looking now. Would be publishing a guide on how to view previously used measurements to make it easier for customers.
