does anyone have any experience with the gingham fabrics on sale right now? k261 and k262, a red and a black gingham. what do you think of them?  how soft do they feel to touch?

 

while we're on it, if anyone has any experience w/ o630, a blue check, i have been looking at that fabric as well.

Has anyone had Modern Tailor shirts delivered to the UK? If so do you have to pay high import fees or do Modern Tailor mark the item as a lower price?

I'm looking to buy a few casual shirts and these seem a good option.

Hello! For the Chinese New Year, there'd be no delays and we are still targeting delivery within 21 business days. However, we already took out the expedite production service for this period... just to manage expectations... as even the couriers will not be readily available.

I got mine in today in the black gingham. The shirt picture they posted is actually mine. I hate the black collar and dont know what i was smoking that day. Im ordering another collar in the gingham to replace it. The fabric feels pretty nice actually.

I really wanted to get the red gingham #k261, but it looks like it is sold out. Anyone know if they will re-stock it?

Realistically no. MT usually only restocks the brand name fabrics. It seems that they buy fabric in bulk from somewhere, then sell shirts from it until it's gone and then buy more bulk fabric. This is pure speculation on my part based on two years of buying and watching their fabric selections. They probably buy closeouts or sale fabrics from wholesalers which is why their (non-brand name) fabrics constantly change.

The randomness of the fabric selection is one of the downsides of choosing MT, but it is also why their prices are lower.

Need a white shirt, would like some sort of pattern to it though. What are the odds that the white stripe pattern that is on sale right now actually looks good??

Does MT ever stock casual fabrics (chambray, linen, etc.).

They've got a few linen options right now, however IIRC the feedback/reviews on the quality of their linen selections was not great. I have not seen chambray offered.
