i have to agree somewhat with that list so far having tried the last 2.

from what i've seen, the prices actually list this way:

PC
MT
Ratio
BL

from more expensive to lease. and this is taking into accounts the type of fabric choices available with discounts.

5 days.

I haven't tried ratio, but based on their website, I'd hardly consider them MTM, given that they only allow you to specify neck, chest & sleeve measurements.

1) I bought a shirt from you, after a single wear and a single wash (at a place where I have done my laundry for years and have not had a single problem), the collar was frayed. I have never seen this before. I did not buy a disposable shirt, I bought a shirt I could wear presumably more than once, and I would like it replaced.
2) The whole thing about emails being marked as spam is a complete lie, and we all know it. Being that you use Google Checkout as customer payment method, there is no reason at all why gmail addresses from personal users would be marked as spam. I sent you an email 48 hours ago, and have no response. I understand that this might be too soon, but that you have a big banner saying you get back to customers with in 24 hours makes taking twice as long unacceptable. But the greater problem is that I expect to hear back from you at all. Your customer service is very poor.
3) the matter of the 20% coupon you have been promising me since June: it takes you months to get back to me via PM here, and I never hear back from emails, of which I have sent three.
I will gladly retract this whole statement if you just resolve the issue of my shirt and my voucher. This would prove that you actually care about your customers.

Hi... I am quite concerned. You emailed us 5 days ago about a 20% voucher... we replied promptly. I forwarded you the same email just now.
I also just replied to your SF personal message and in that message included a separate voucher code.
Regards,
Leah

I ordered a shirt almost 2 months ago:
1st contact: They emailed me about my special requirements(simple: lower back yoke and wider armholes at elbow, shirt measurements provided). I responded in 24 hours. No response.
2nd: 2 weeks later I emailed them about the status, it took them 1 week to get back to me. MT said my email was spammed but they are processing my order.
3rd: 2 weeks later still no shipping confirmation email. I emailed MT and they said they lost my order before being sent to production. Gave me a 10% off coupon that had a super short expiration date (like I would order another shirt before receiving the 1st???)
4th: Again 2 weeks later I emailed again, with a delayed 1 week response. They are having "trouble" with my order and it will be shipped in 1 week. Again another 10% off coupon (useless expiration date)
5th: Emailed MT again with no response, 18 days without a response. Going to have to pay my credit card company to get my money back.
All of this hassle and this shirt was the final measurement check before I ordered about 12 new workshirts for the coming year. I am taking my business elsewhere. censored.gif
Edit: FINALLY got a shipping confirmation. Hopefully they did not screw up the shirt!

Hi, Would you kindly let me know the order # so I can investigate why you received such a short and delayed reply?
Thank you...
Leah

Hey,
I would like o say that MT finally got back to me and offered to replace my shirt that frayed, as well as offer my me a 20% voucher I was promised. Everything went as planned, even if it took a bit longer. But apparently they sent me an email several days ago that somehow never came through. I am glad that their customer service rep was able to sort this out, and that they actually do have a lot of interest in pleasing the customer. I hope this clears things up. Thanks MT, and thanks SF!

I guess with all the negative feedback here I should chime in with my very positive experience with them.

Ordered the trail shirt and expedited shipping and got it in 7 days here in Toronto. I also got a picture after 5 days.

Haven't had the chance to do a comparison of the measurements against what I gave them, but I'll do that tonight. I'm wearing the shirt at work today, and it seems all pretty much spot on except for the amount of fabric around the elbows.

There is also a lot of creasing in the elbow area, even though I starched and ironed it; is this to be expected with the blue trial fabric?

I think once I reduced the 2 above areas, it's going to be a pretty perfect shirt. I'm really happy, and intend on doing business with them again.

TL;DR Ebay Style: A++ Would buy again!

Yeah I'm going to have to agree here and go against all the negatives. I've ordered 4 shirts from MT with a 5th coming in. All have fit well, and the fabrics are great. That being said, I did my research thoroughly. One thing to watch out for is the thin MOP buttons. They suck ass. Better to save the $2 or spend the extra $3 for the thick ones. Cheers!

I just ordered my first MT trial shirt last night....And I opted for the MOP buttons.

Not really. MT has a lot of cheap fabrics that PC doesn't use. So the range for MT is something like $30-$190, whereas for PC it's more like $60-$250. For the same fabric, the prices are comparable.

The quality difference in the shirts that I ordered was enormous between PC and MT. Both use a variety of tailors located in Asia, but for some reason PC seems to be able to get the shirt to you much more quickly than MT does (2 weeks vs 4)

Ratio doesn't have nearly as many fabrics as either of those two, so the range is truncated; their prices range from $60-$120. Their quality beat both PC and MT hands down, though it takes forever to get delivery (4-6), even though their tailors are in the US.

If you really want a $30 MTM shirt, MT is right for you, but IMO there's no such thing as a high quality $30 shirt.

PC has better variety than ratio, and the quality is close, but it also tends to be more expensive for similar fabrics.

You really can't go wrong with ratio or PC, since they both offer to remake the shirt if anything is wrong. This is much better than simply offering a tailoring credit.

bunch of complaints and complaints and complaints

seems like an unusual case. i have made 3 orders (no prior experience with MT) in the last 2 months. everything has gone smoothly. they also made an adjustment based on email request to an order that was already placed for me. they responded within 6 hours and the shirt still got to me on time (about a week ago).

i think MT is quite good, though I wish the discounts for styleforum members were a little more clear.

i give MT 2 thumbs up, but like anything some tweaks could make it better. i will order again.

I have to chime in as well, I'm now on my 5th shirt and I think I've got all the measurements right. I've never had a problem with an order and any mishaps has been promptly solve by MT. In addition to all of that my last shirt was made, sent and received within 7days and that is without expedited shipping.

Quick question regarding MOP buttons, am I correct to think that recently the thick MOP buttons are slightly thinner than they were before? I always go for thick MOPs, but recently noticed they were thinned down 1-2mm. Or maybe I just got thin MOPs instead?

Regards,
dsc.

MT offered me a voucher to give them another try after I mentioned the shrinkage of the collar.

I just submitted an order and let's see what will transpire.
