I advise obtaining a swatch of each of these ($1 / each) when you order your trial shirt ($20). IIRC, they will credit you for the swatches on your next order.

Yes, please restore that option. Many of us prefer precisely that combination -- soft collar with stays.

I just went through a bunch of e-mails to convince them to do that by request on one shirt. First I was told it was impossible, then I was told the 5 or 6 shirts I'd previously ordered with soft collars didn't come with removable stays, despite the fact that each of them did, then I was told they would "try but could not guarantee."
MT Customer Service is usually pretty on top of fixing problems but this issue seemed to baffle them.
Regarding swatches, I tried to order swatches of some fabrics (their $99+ oxfords) and I think out of ten fabrics only one was actually available as a swatch.
What's the logic behind not allowing custom swatches for your more expensive shirts? If I'm going to spend that much money on a shirt over the internet then of course I want to feel it first. I'm not sure why the option is provided for say, a $40 fabric, but not a $120 fabric.
Hi johnmcnamee,
The imported fabrics are not available for custom swatches because we don't have most of them on stock and we have to import them first. So in an attempt to make the process simpler and less costly for the customer. We do have some of the imported fabrics on stock and if a customer really wants swatches of those imported fabrics, it's better to emails sales@moderntailor.com to check first if they are available and we'll let you know immediately and just adjust your invoice to include them. This way you don't have to pay beforehand for a fabric that may not be available (as it is an imported fabric).
:)
comment from tobiasj and gamma1234 are both useful and I get the point. It will be quite a slower process to have all shirts produced then photographed then professionally edited. I think I can recommend higher resolution versions to be uploaded though. thanks for the help.
Please fix your advanced searches!
If you select price/color/etc, it will work for the first page of results, but all future pagination breaks.
(Simply try pressing page 2 after running a search with multiple facets and you will see that it breaks.)
It has been this way since site first launched and is terribly frustrating!

It should be fixed.. Let us know if you're still having trouble.
Very pleased, I confirmed all measurements and everything is accurate. I'll still change a few things on the next order because I'd done some guesswork, but it's a great product.
Still looking for a very heavy/rough oxford fabric. I guess I just need to order swatches.
