On my latest batch of shirts I had a problem mentioned before here -- the collar pops out in front. I plan to wear the shirts not fully buttoned up, so this is annoying and doesn't look very good. Did anyone end up finding a solution to this problem? Or is there a way I can order differently next time to avoid this? I just got the classic medium collar.

I just placed an order for my 5th and 6th MT shirts. I really like the recent changes- option of label delete, the new search features, and the way they send you a photo of the shirt as soon as it is produced. Customer service and order tracking blow Jantzen and MyTailor away.

Collar height = 5.5 cm, wow. Do the "points" float off the shirt at all? I can't tell from the pic.

I had a test shirt made with the rounded collar a few weeks back and the collar height on it is closer to 5cm and they lay somewhat flat. When I ordered it there was a different picture for the round collar at the time than what is on their site now. There was also no mention of 5.5cm. That seems awfully high to me...

Sure, if you have your own collar stays, you can inform us in the notes then we can create a special hole for it.

I received my test shirt and the measurements were almost perfect.. I might have put my arm holes a little too small, but it fit great. I did find problems with loose threads, one button fell off of the cuff and holes that were visible on the armholes. I emailed MT and they just wanted me to return the shirt, which I didn't find necessary because it was just a tester shirt that I'm not willing to put anymore time or money into. I will be purchasing another shirt or two, just hoping that the build quality will be better.

My experience mirrors yours. The test measurements are pretty solid but I had a few loose threads I cut off.

I hope this isn't too odd, but I was wondering if people would be willing to share height/weight and what measurements they're using. I keep feeling like I'm doing something a little wrong and wonder if some of my measurements or body description choices is leading to atypical results. Anyway, here are mine.

Collar\t 15.4 inches
Half Chest\t 20.7 inches
Half Waist\t 18.75 inches
Half Hip\t 19.75 inches
Left Sleeve Length\t 26.0 inches
Right Sleeve Length\t 26.0 inches
Short Sleeve Length\t 10.0 inches
3/4 Sleeve Length\t inches
Half Bicep\t 7.4 inches
Left Cuffs\t 8.9 inches
Right Cuffs\t 8.9 inches
Yoke\t 18.3 inches
Shoulder\t 6.0 inches
Shirt Length\t 31.0 inches
Armhole\t 9.4 inches
Back\t Average
Shoulder\t Average
Stomach\t Flat
Body\t Slim
Your Height\t 72.0 inches
Your Weight\t 173.0 pounds

I wish I had a better sense of what the back/stomach/body choices end up meaning in terms of the production of the shirt and its actual measurements. One thing I've noticed is that my MT shirts have the seams perfectly on the sides, whereas when I lay my Boss Slim Fit shirts flat, the back part of the shirt is bigger than the front, which makes the seams under the arms come in a bit and seems to fit better. Is that what the 'back' measurement is getting at?

are they recommended for the purchase of my first suit? But I have no idea what to do though.

Need something for interviews coming up.

I'd buy something well-fitting off the rack. I'm sure the interviewer won't be expecting you to have a perfectly fitting suit. Besides, if you don't have time to fiddle around with it, then RTW may offer a better fit.

What is a reasonable armhole size (6', 170lbs)? Or perhaps I should ask, what would strike you as too small? My shirts are fine everywhere but pulling at the front and bottom of the armhole. I'm not sure if it's because the arm is too small or because the chest or yoke measurement is too small, or because on the "back" option I chose average instead of bent. My MT shirts never come out quite right and I'm trying to figure this problem out. Thanks.

I have the same thing going on. I tried lowering the armhole and yoke measurements, hoping that would help. The shirt is not here yet, so I will let you know how it works out when I get it.

Ordered a few shirts last night and also my 1st pair of pants. Used my best fitting slim fit pants for measurements and MT's $20 off pants promo for orders over $100. I picked a cotton/lycra military green colour - hope it is as dark a color as per my screen. Would have loved to order some 100% wool pants but for a test pair it could be a expensive mistake. Have asked them for pants fabric samples and was told no - but was in the pipeline sometime in the future.
