Got my third MT shirt yesterday and I'm very happy. Guys, the Bright Blue Chevron / t140 fabric is really nice. It reads as a mid-blue I would say (or perhaps a little darker) and it has a nice, very subtle sheen to it. It's thick and comfortable as well.

The shirt is very well made, with zero discernible flaws AT ALL. I feel like this thread gets all the negative experiences and much fewer of the positive ones, so here's a comment in the other direction.

The thick MOP buttons and the medium spread collar with 8cm points are both FTW.

To cap it off, I've more or less cracked a perfect fit, which is awesome because OTR shirts almost never fit me (I'm a 37 chest but with freakishly long arms).

nvm...I'm an idiot. The yellow check shirt had sold out, and I confused the fabric #'s with another shirt in my order, so I actually did get the correct order I placed. Too bad, I was really looking forward to the yellow check....sucks that it sold out before I got it, it would have been much different from all the other shirts I own.

I would also like to see pictures of shirts which are un-edited.

As others have said, I just want to see what the patterns look like in full-scale rather than in a small 4x4 inch section. It doesn't need to look amazing.

My initial trial shirt order actually had a photo which was e-mailed to me by someone in your staff which I was extremely appreciative of. Unfortunately, I did not receive any photos in my subsequent orders.

My first order was pretty much a home run. The shirts are very nice and made exactly according to the measurements I have.

Wanted to post an update on my extra fabric under the collar issue; MT offered to remake both shirts but unfortunately one of the fabrics was out of stock. I've re-placed the order with 'wide spread' collar to hopefully avoid this issue moving forward.

One thing I can give MT kudos for is their customer service. They usually reply to e-mail inquiries within minutes and not more than a few hours during non-peak times. There is significant time lag as they present issues to the production manager/master tailor but simple correspondence has been very prompt. As for shirt quality, I've had both hit and misses but with their level of customer service, I'm willing to take a gamble on as in the end they strive to "make it right". Thanks MT, can't wait for the remakes!

p.s. Bright Blue Chevron 2-ply 100s thread count is on sale for $49.95 this week.

Just wanted to say bravo for adding a tape measure to some of the fabric sample photos. That is a tiny but very helpful change. Are we looking at inches or centimeters?

MT customer service is EXCELLENT . Recently they emailed me a picture of a completed shirt in a fabric I was curious about (there wasn't such a picture on the site). Took them about an hour to respond to my email - crazy.

The Bright Blue Chevron is great. Kop it now.

We have added 4"X4" as dimension for the new regular fabrics and 6cmX6cm (imported fabrics). We will standardize it to 6cmX6cm for the future fabrics.

I'll echo this. I've also had some issues with things not being right or requests not being followed but they have always been prompt in their response and have remade the shirts and sent me a corrected one at no cost to me.

+1 on that as well....most of my orders turned out great, and the ones that had issues were fixed very quickly. The only thing that sucked was by the time I got my order, realized everything was wrong, then submitted a request for remakes, all the fabrics I had originally chosen were sold out frown.gif

I'm looking to get a white casual shirt from moderntailor, but I want to be able to wear it without an undershirt. Do they have any white fabrics thick enough to be completely opaque?

In your case, I would choose a herringbone or oxford. The striped fabrics reveal more than desirable, IMHO.

I picked the Bright Blue Chevron with black thick MOP, think it will contrast too much? Tough to gauge the darkness of the fabric as the swatch photo is rather dark and the shirt gallery photos shows a very light blue fabric. Would you happen to have a natural light photo?
