anyone have a good plain light blue? a lighter fabric would be good

EMMA, I know this has been brought up before, any chance we could get swatches with fabrics we choose? I would even be willing to pay for the fabric, $.50 or $1 each or something?

MT collar is a bit different, almost rounded. This is the collar I'm talking about http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...=&sectionsize=

the wide spread is not rounded in the slightest

it is very close to the BB you posted. check MT's shirt showcase for examples.

Hi there! actually, this is the solution we came up with.

I agree, I've only ordered their wide spreads on my shirts and they're not rounded. It's a correct wide spread collar.

Emma, this is not the same as actually holding the swatches in your hand. Feeling the thickness, seeing if a white is actually white, seeing if the fabric has a shine,...

You can make the highest quality MTM for less than $100, make 3 shirts in 2 days, reply to emails within minutes,... But, you can't make a real fabric book. Come on.

I know only a few people have requested them, but I promise you there are much more people out there who would like to PURCHASE a real fabric book.

Personally, I would be interested in buying a suit or two if I knew what the actual fabric was. Nobody is willing to put $200-$300 down for a suit, no matter how well made, without actually feeling the fabric.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because I wouldn't use 80% of those fabrics even if I could feel them. oh well. I continue using MT anyway...

2nd couriers are actually on a holiday break so it's difficult to get a reply from them over the holidays. they are also coordinating with other couriers in your country who are also on skeletal force. It's been quite difficult to deal with couriers over xmas. Do let us know though if you never get the package. There is a huge delay in your case and we want to talk to our courier about what happened.

Regarding the delay in the minor change in your order after you submitted the order, i acknowledge that issue. that's not right. I'll look into that.

As an update to your newest order, it's now marked paid - on Jan 3rd - hoping you got confirmation that your extra requests have also been attended to.

regards,
E

Emma, I never said YOU lost the package. It's obvious that once the package is in the courrier's hands you have no control over it. What I am not happy about is that it took you guys so long to accept the idea that it shouldn't take a MONTH for a package to cross the ocean by air. Especially when it usually takes 2-3 days for the package to be scanned in Canada after it left China. There were several points which should have made you realize that the package was never going to be delivered:

- package in transit between China and Canada for 1 MONTH
- i received several other packages from China that were shipped later
- another person from montreal ordered AFTER my order was SHIPPED, and received it while my order was still in transit

By the way, as of today, the tracking has not been updated since it "left China".

As for the other issue, I never received a reply. And I received a shipping notification. I was worried that my request had not even been received, but I went on your website, in the "Showcase" section and noticed my shirt, with the changes done.

Now I hope I will receive my shirts soon

I have to agree with this poster. I just got the fabric book and my first (trial) shirt. I'm pretty disappointed. The shirt doesn't fit, which I can understand and make adjustments with. But the fabric book is almost worthless. It's ridiculous to charge $25 for a fabric book which might only have half the actual fabrics available on the site. Also a lot of the fabrics in the book I received are missing labels. For instance, there is a nice solid blue fabric I would like to order a shirt on, but I don't even know the fabric number because it's missing. To be honest, I wish I had not ordered in the first place. All I have so far for $65 is a trial shirt that doesn't fit and a fabric book that is not very good. I would strongly suggest anyone in this forum not get the fabric book. EDIT: I also just realized they did not include the measuring tape in the fabric book order. Just FYI.

I am about to order another shirt from MT, this will be my first striped shirt from MT, I just have some questions. If I make a note with these request, will MT do this? 1) If I get a split yoke, will MT align the stripes at the seam on the back? 2) Will MT align the shoulder stripes with the sleeve stripes? 3) Will MT align the placket stripes? Thanks!

Yes, yes and yes. Pattern matching is very well done at MT.

If you get a split yoke, don't expect good pattern matching at the shoulders. It's not their fault, it's just geometrically impossible. I never get split yoke and I see no reason to.

Great! Are there any other alignments that I should look for?
