BTW, wouldn't it be "Doyle", or do we have some confirmation that he used an unusual spelling?

It's Doyle.

NY is about to explode. Lucky and Benny exchanging gun fire with Masseria's guys will not go without repercussions. I think we will be hearing more and more about Joe Masseria and his organization.

A lot more. The show should be around 1924 by now and Masseria doesn't get clipped until '31.

Frankie Yale's name gets mentioned occasionally. Can't recall seeing him yet. Of more importance in Jersey in that time period was Longy Zwillman in Newark. Zwillman will attend the 1929 Atlantic City conference , hosted by Nucky.

That's a fantastic name. Seems like he was the Tony Soprano of the prohibition era.

Nucky seems in a bad spot right now, with loyalties fading and Rosetti on his ass.

I wonder if Mickey will end up working for Eli. Especially after the ambush. I was thinking, why not just load up an additional truck with barrels of fuel and refill sometime after the last gas station.

He sure does. Edgy as fuck. Nucky does not seem to have that much muscle and yet he is getting pissy with the Owen.

How is Mickey still alive? How many lives does he have? He has changed sides so many times and does not know when to shut up. Now he blatantly goes against what Nucky told him. I would be shocked if he does not get whacked.

I was also surprised Nucky killed the kid. The kid seemed like he could be useful. I get the whole you can't let someone steal from you but the kid clearly had skills and balls. Would have been a nice addition to the show.

No Mr. Puffous comments?

I'm glad that Nucky popped that kid. Probably reminded him too much of Jimmy, cept that Jimmy wasn't a cocky little smart ass.

Did anyone think Eli was out of character this epi? He showed initiative, intelligence, and diligence. Three things he did not demonstrate at any time in the first two seasons.

He studied with the Nation of Islam during his stint in the pokie.

Well, the real guy he's based on managed to live until 1931 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Duffy

Of course, they changed his name on the show for a reason, so who knows?
