I don't think so. They could go a million different places. How many times were alliances established and crossed this season? Richard should have a good idea what's going on and his idea should be validated as soon as he knows Manny Horvitz is alive. So there you go. Angry Richard (fuck yeah!). Also, there are so many characters that are really interesting and could be given more time

Plus 50. This is an old reference, but I kind of hope Angela wakes up next season to find Bobby Ewing in shower.

+1 to all the did not see it coming. I thought my prediction was correct right up to the end, particularly since my one about Jimmy starting to snort was on target. Nucky's line before the second bullet was just spectacular. Fucking Maggie signing that land over...can you imagine his reaction?

So, Commodore, Jimmy, and Eli (headed to jail) all out next season. Lots of room for new characters.

Her hesitance made me think she was going to keep the deeds under her name and ruin Nucky.

Hopefully instead of adding a bunch of new ones, we will see more of Chalky, Capone, Rothstein, etc.

What she did was far worse than keeping it in her name.

Well I'm fine with this because he killed my fucking Jimmy!

Lol why do I always get so attached to fictional characters
post #608 of 1195
I don't feel the despair/anger over Jimmy's death like other people. Yeah, he died, but it was a great plot line. So much more going on in that show than Jimmy. Van Alden, Capone, Chalky, Rothstein, Manny...and of course the "main cast."

What. The. Fuck.

Those of you clamoring for more of AR, Lucky, Capone, etc. IMO are just kidding yourselves. They have been mostly side plots. The show is Atlantic City and those characters do not fit in with the main focus of the show.

Damn you Jimmy for being such a PUSSY and trying to reconcile with Nucky.

This was not a season finale that has me looking forward to next season. Big fail! I hope on the season 3 premiere they show us that the show can still go on.

Just throw it out there: what if Jimmy survived? I mean look at Richard's face... he was able to survive a snipers rifle, Jimmy might have survived this. Margaret is in for a whole world of pain come next season. They should spin off another show based in NYC (Broadway Empire?) with Rothstein, Luciano, Lansky, etc... lots of great room for real life people like Bugsy Siegel.

Couldn't agree more. Would love to see more of the New York/Chicago guys. AC is not what it used to be. Still I am interested to see where they go with the story next season.

he didn't survive. the second bullet was put right in between eyes

Did it seem that the were writing with the anticipation of not getting pick up next season? I kind of felt that some of Nucky's dialogue and even his actions truly betrayed his core character.

Rothstein still has 8 years to go, if the show is in 1920 now (assuming from the BLack Sox trial headline last episode), ad Torrio hasn't even left CHicago yet, so plenty of room for the historical figures to flesh out more.

It was a brilliant episode.
