I actually like the sleeves like that. I'd rather have them the right length when walking or extending my arms rather when having my arms down. Besides, with gloves on I think it'll look perfect.

Exactly what I was going to say. Nothing worse on a winter coat than exposing your wrists to the cold every time you move. The sleeves are perfect on a coat meant to actually keep you warm.

It's a nice jacket, however, have you considered a knee length wool overcoat also?

Not in herringbone. The whole point of my hunt was to find a classic luxurious pattern in a modern cut.

I already have a knee-length coat - I think that's a perfect cut for a man. I may want to get another one in black.

I can't try it on at those places man, I'm so down for that jacket man it's perfect.

Try Barneys on Wilshire. Not sure where else it might be carried in L, but Scout and South Willard are probably decent bets. In SF, MAC carries the line.

I'm actually going there this w/e, is this part of the newest collection? Btw, the black margiela shirt is disgustingly sick on me.

Yeah, it's part of the new collection. There are a lot of pieces not in the lookbook. Some of them are in Rakuten-Explorer, some I've posted pics of, but there are more pieces...

I was in there and they only had the herringbone bedford jacket in a large. They had the Herringbone Norfolk jacket in Medium, and large i think. Really nice stuff.

I just ordered the bedford from steven alan in a small.

I picked up a couple leather jackets and an interesting nylon/cotton blend from BR. I'm not a big fan of outerwear that isn't black/charcoal.

My peacoat has longer than usual sleeves, and works perfectly with gloves, but they are still not that long. But the nice thing about the herringbone coat is that with the leather there, you don't have to worry about having the end of the cuffs discolored because they are too long. No big, it doesn't ruin it for me, I would just fix it how I like it if it were mine.

PS, there are some nice peacoats by Neil Barrett on Yoox. Still a few $ though.

Any of you guys know where I can find the black rag bone safari jacket hook a brotha up please.

Picked up a Banana Republic black peacoat today that I actually liked. The size small fit real well, fairly slim....as slim as a peacoat can be I guess. It's not wool (which I like), but a heavy cotton moleskin-like fabric. I'd guess about 20oz so it's a bit lighter than a real navy coat. Cost a lot more than one from Sterling..$250 but I've never liked *real* peacoats because of the wool which I just cant stand. So this was a nice alternative that I can stare at for a few weeks and figure out if I want to keep it or return it.

Wish I could wear jackets. I have not actually needed a jacket in years - yet I have several nice ones Getsmart: I also have a BR camel-coloured knee length single-breasted coat which is surprisingly decent.
