Greetings.
I guess my skin could be described as both oily and sensitive. I have redness which goes from cheek to cheek, a genetic gift maybe, and I'm somewhat prone to breaking out in spots. I also tend to get skin bumps turning into small spots after I shave. I guess my condition is quite mild because I've never really bothered with skin care in the past and I've usually just washed with water. But, I would like to improve my appearance.
I recently began using a Nivea Revitalising Wash twice a day, but with this recent out-break of spots I'm suspecting that the "Revitalising" wash doesn't help because I theorize that it would only intensify my already oily skin. My questions are:
What kind of routine should I be looking at in controlling the spots?
How can I get rid of this red, blemish like colouration?
And how do I incorporate these improvements into shaving (another subject altogether maybe)?
Cheers.
Oh, and is soap good or bad? I know it dries the skin out, but if you already have oily skin isn't it better to dry it?
