old girlfriend thread

I know that there was a thread like this, but I couldn't find it.

so, a friend of mine ( a real friend but also on facebook) befriended an old girlfriend of mine, so I friended her, too. havne't seen or talked to her in 20 years. she was my first real serious girlfriend. very hot. pretty smart. we broke up because she left israel, but it wouldn't have lasted, although I was too stupid to realize it at the time. when it happened, I thought that I was cool with it, but it took me a while to get over her. the guy she ended up marrying was a very old friend, and they had fooled around when she was with her boyfriend before me, and at one point he was supposed to come visit and I very calmly told her that if I even felt that he was trying to hook up with her I'd literally kill him. so they decided that he not visit.

anyway, saw her and feel so glad that I dogded that bullet. yes, at 19 she was hot and I really enjoyed the sex. but I am really glad I didn't end up married to her. the academic career that she was working on seems to have completly stalled, she got really fat (ok, so I'm not one to talk, but still) and she has ugly kids.

life is good

heh, I friended my first love on FB while she was still married, and when the marriage imploded she and I traded a few emails and phone calls of support (Her marriage did not end so well). Unfortunately she is a little lighter than she was when we dated, and is still attractive.

I am still friends with my last ex on FB but we don't talk She has the same configuration as my current gf (tall leggy blonde) but is less curvy + better paid + more stylish

My ex friended me a while back. Things did not end well and we haven't spoken in years. I think the last time we talked was when I stumbled into her and her friends at a club in Annapolis the weekend before I shipped of to grad school.

I thought it was odd that she decided to add me as a friend, but considering that I'm pretty content with my life, I accepted. Everything I'd heard about her made me very glad we never stayed together. She sounds like a hot mess. Still parties way too much, gets really sloppy, and has pretty much alienated all her friends. From the facebook profile, she's apparently dating some goatee'd douchebag who enjoys golfing, works in a Verizon store, and lives close to my old home in MD (a shitty suburb in the Balt/Wash/Naptown area). Basically, it's like she never grew up.

Either way, I'm really happy with my situation in life.

I sometimes miss my old girlfriend. I still think she's the best woman I've ever known, but our personalities just seem to clash to no end.

im friends with my ex on facebook and her life seems to going very well. no schaudenfrued, im happy for her.

another (older) girl who broke my heart when i was 19 (didnt realise it was just lust) seems to be a mess. still hot. feel sorry for her.

friendship on facebook and before that myspace and friendster let me know that my first major girlfriend out of high school is still dating guys that were my age when we were dating. she's continuously dated teenage boys since we were teenagers. she's now just about 30. i can't imagine dating a teenager and dealing with their dramatic bullshit now, but more power to her.
