Favorite thing to do in sports

So what's your favorite thing to do in sports? Not some miracle play/shot that you once did, but something that's pretty common and done on a regular basis.

I play a lot of softball so mine comes from there. It only works when I'm playing against a team that doesn't know me and if it's on an open field without a fence. I hit middle of the order so normally the outfielders are playing deeper. So first at bat or two, I'll go caca (as we call it). This means that I slow my bat speed way down and hit a little blooper over the 1st or 2nd basemans head and in front of the right fielder for a hit. Many times I'll get a double out of it. If the outfielders still play deep, I'll just keep doing it. What I want though is for them to move in and they usually do. So the next at bat I hit it over their heads for a homerun. If I get up again it's pretty funny watching/listening to the fielders trying to figure out where they should be playing me.

Took a vuvuzela to a mountain bike trail recently and when I finished my ride I stood at the trailhead and kept blowing it when people were going by.

In football/soccer I prefer playing on the right wing. My favorite thing to do is take the ball down the right flank and cross it in for someone to finish. If I put in a perfect cross and somebody heads the ball in, I probably enjoy that even more than scoring a goal myself.

I do something similar in softball, B. I'm left-handed, so every time I come up to bat the entire field shifts right. What they don't realize is that I have a remarkable ability to put the ball pretty much wherever I want on the field. Every time they shift right I hit it to the left side of the field, and, given the third baseman is usually somewhere around SS, I get on base pretty much every time. I've had little bloops drop behind third base short of the outfield grass, and I still ended up on base with time to spare because they were playing so far out of position. I've also stretched hits that were close singles into extra-base hits using this same approach.

After a couple of at-bats they usually figure out my little strategy, and they don't shift nearly as much. This is usually when I pull one hard to the right side of the field, catching them completely off guard.

nothing is better than playing basketball and stuffing the ball back in someones face or into the first row. Screw dunking, i want hops so i can pin the ball on the backboard during some punks layup.

well, i used to play a lot of 9-ball, but i wasnt good enough to run out as they say. but every once in a while i would get a nice break and i would run out either due to the balls being spread out evenly, or the shots although difficult i per chance happened to make all my shots on that rack, or i just get on a hot streak. would never happen during the tournaments i played in (local tournaments, nothing big, but still rated) always during cash plays or practice.

Yeah, her personality puts her a full point or two higher on the 10-point scale for me. It's rare to find female commentators or hosts who are that magical combination of quick, sharp, funny, and goofy. She is like everything you always want, but know that you will never quite find, in a gf.

hmmm, two things come to mind.

In volleyball, I love to block. I'm always jumping, and usually a decent bit over the net - so when the opposing team is ready to spike... I'm up at the net and as high as possible. It's not often, but every so often someone sees the ball coming back at them as soon as they hit it, and headed downwards. Wish I played more often. =(

While running, I can usually pick up my pace to pass someone...up to a point. But I'll work my tail off in the meantime. But I love passing up slower runners.
