It depends on your state (or country.) People watching is probably at the top of my list, though I often do it with a little help from fermented grain.

Go running (might not be free unless you already have the shoes for it)

Jumping from big rocks/bridges etc into water.

Working out with a vengeance and then coasting along on the endorphine high.

- Going to the library and borrowing books, music, movies etc. to peruse - Socializing with friends at their residence, bars, parks, library, etc. - Hiking, mountain climbing (if you're the risk-taking type) - Free public events within your area - Protesting (the legal kind) - Volunteer work (can get various benefits from this) - Going to shops, talking to the managers and applying for work there (potentially not fun, but it can be depending on how extroverted you are) - Wandering around your suburb/town (can be fun on occasion) - Going to the beach - Dancing under the moonlight - Talking to strangers - Cooking/eating something new (assuming you currently eat within a budget that permits mixing up your diet)

Playing/listening to music; finding new music

Come to mention it, my life is pretty dry as it stands. I might need to take notes from this thread.

If this is fun to you, not only is it free but you can also get paid to do it.
