Do you own a pair of red trousers?

A brick red in a nice moleskin would suit me well, I think.

I do - but never get any use out of them.

Will be offering them up for a nominal price on the B&S (shameless plug)

It's funny, because I've been looking for a while, but after reading this thread, it sparked my interest anew. But nothing shows up on J Crew, Lands End etc, in red.

I did see a pair of Barbour on eBay for about $50, but they were regular fit, and pleated, so I think I'll pass on those.

Even if I were to have the legs slimmed a bit by my tailor, wouldn't they look off with pleats?

I'm seeing the Panta ones in my mind's eye paired with a blue sports coat, white shirt and brown shoes... don't know if I have the cajones to pull it off though.

EDIT: Never mind, I found a similar thread.

Red pants on guys always look revoltingly douchey to me. Too much of an attention grabber.

Red shorts get a pass with a white or gray shirt, barely. Actually no, no pass on shorts either.

...my 2 cents...

They looked awesome on Binge. Can't recall if they were cords or not... I remember looking thru one of the threads in the last few days that had him in front of his record collection, wearing an ideal pair.

But yeah, Google aint doing **** helping me track down a pair

I previously owned some Burberry red trousers that my wife took an instant dislike to, so never realy got worn. I recently purchased a pair in deep red cotton by Loro Piana (double pleats, almost a chino-style fit) which are great, even my wife likes them. I've been wearing them with blue shirts and perhaps a camel-colored cashmere sweater if it's cold.

Brooks Bros has a few, but not exactly in the shade I'd prefer.

I own a pair of Brooks Brothers in the milano fit.
They are slim and well constructed, but Panta likely makes a much nicer pair.

I have a pair of BB Milano in red.

Also looked at H&M who have a red pair on sale right now. It is a deeper red than the BB - which are more East Coast yuppie.

The H&M ones are cheap too, so it is not much of an investment if it's not your cup of tea.
