Epaulet x Styleforum Tea-Washed Doublefaced Shirt Poll

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, We're back with what has become a seasonal tradition - the Epaulet x Styleforum collaborative shirt poll! We search out some insane fabrics, you guys vote on your favorite colors/patterns, and we make up the most popular choices. For this edition, we've got two brand new Japanese fabrics - a "Tea-Washed" variant of last season's popular Doublefaced cloth, and an absolutely insane printed Pima Cotton corduroy. This poll is for the Tea-Washed Double-Faced shirt. This fabric will be plaid on the exterior and gingham on the interior. When you wear the shirt, you'll only see the inside gingham fabric when you roll up the sleeves, so the effect is really subtle. For Fall, the plaids are all "Tea-Washed" for a handsome muted effect. The cotton is ridiculously soft. Our Spring pieces were the fastest selling shirts that we've ever made, so we're confident that this fabric will deliver an excellent piece. Click here to view and vote on the Printed Pima Cotton Corduroy Poll Fabric Double-faced 100% cotton. Live and direct from Japan. Shape Our standard long sleeve Epaulet fit (body, sleeves, darts, etc) with a left flap chest pocket). We'll use our usual Buttondown collar. If you already own an Epaulet shirt, you can expect this one to fit identically. Buttons All natural pearl trocas shell. Schedule 1. From today through Friday, Aug 13th, Styleforum members can vote on their favorite colors. 2. We'll choose the top two colors and order the fabrics. They'll be about a 10 day wait between ordering the fabric and getting it. During this time, we'll take paid pre-orders on our website. This way, we can ensure that we make enough units of any given size to ensure that everyone who wants a shirt gets one. You won't have to pre-order to buy a shirt, but you can do so if you want to guarantee yourself one after they're made. This is especially important if you take an XS or an XXL, as we typically don't produce too many of those. 3. The shirts will take about 3-4 weeks for production. We should have them in stock and ready to ship by the 3rd or 4th week of September. Onto the colors. Please choose your TWO favorite colors in the poll. I swear I'm always at odds with the SF X Epaulet color polls. I like the black/salmon here.

I always find myself greedily eyeing Epaulet shirts but unfortunately it is one of the brands that just doesn't fit me. It's partly that I'm in between a S and M (likewise with Gitman BV and some others) and partly the flare towards the bottom hem. While not as exagerrated as Hope shirts do it, this has always looked bad on me. I take it it's just a classic styling cue? Anyways, it would be really awesome if you guys could do another cut (in my dreams I know) cuz you do some of the best fabric selection in the business IMO.

That's super easy to fix though. I get Epaulet shirts all the time and just alter them to remove the flare - take the narrowest point on the torso and run it straight down if you're a bit top-heavy.
