Nonsensical vandalism.

Came across this when borrowing a book from the library, still not sure what to make of it but it bothers me to say the least.

I thought education was mandatory?

Wondering if anyone else has come across stuff like this (no doubt), especially in such curious places (who would think to vandalize a library book with this nonsense?).

It almost makes me wonder what exceptions are/should be made for freedom of speech.

Any college town has tons of stuff like that. Half of all people are stupid.

I forgot to mention this book came from the Melbourne (capital of Victoria) city library, and not somewhere out of town or rural that might be more susceptible to this sort of stuff, though perhaps I'm showing my naivety here.

Cities, contrary to popular belief, contain a high number of stupid, ignorant, careless vagrants.

Considering he doesn't know how to spell Osama bin Laden or even write legibly leads me to believe this is some punk-ass kid. Just make sure you let the library know so you don't get fined for it.

Lots of marker tags around Tokyo. Several on my way to school that just say "Dicks" in very plain letters. That said, I have been known to tag buildings/bridges with a stencil of Bob Saget.

Sometimes I wish that was true.

Are you implying that more than 50% are people are stupid? Because that's exactly how I feel.

When I was a little kid I used to write

If that was in pencil then .

Re: the book if anyone's interested, I'm only 50 pages through but so far it is a great introduction to futurology, would recommend if anyone is at all interested in the area.
