I haven't seen anything from 2010, these were all released in 2009.
Inglorious Basterds
Star Trek (and I wasn't a fan to begin with)
Watchmen
The Road

Green Zone and The Slammin' Salmon were decent, 5/10ish. A few from 09 that I enjoyed alot were Moon, Mary and Max, and Harry Browne.

Coincidentally, I downloaded and watched Ghost Writer yesterday actually, it was OK. I had read the book, and was one of those rare cases where I probably preferred the film. SPB_lady also mentioned I should watch A Single Man, also watched it yesterday. It was well made, very nicely done stylistically. Tom Ford will greatly appreciate my fist bump, I'm sure.

Remember Me - with that kid from Twilight? Just looked it up, reviews were pretty scathing...you liked it?

Oh - and no foreign films - will be watching on this tiny ass eeepc, subtitles will be way too much for my old eyes to handle on that thing

Yes, my diet of movies generally excludes Hollywood fare yet of the few recent ones (I've seen) these two weren't bad entertainment. I know not what Twilight is.
Another good one, if you don't like subs, and can speak Spanish, is The Secret In their Eyes, from Argentina. Won foreign Oscar award.

It's not that I don't like subtitles (I do actually, I don't like over-dubbing) it's just that these will be watched on a 7 inch screen...subs are a bit of a strain under the circumstances.

Anyhow, my Spanish is long forgotten, so give that a miss, but thanks for the rec.

I love sub-titled movies. Especially over Dubbed.

You can't get the emotion right when you dub, and in that lose the emotion. Makes movies empty. And ya, trying to read sub-titles can be a strain at the best of times. On a 7 inch screen, while on a flight ... would be the worst case scenario for trying to watch subtitles.

I like Get Him to The Greek.

It's basically The Hangover, with better music.

It's 'cause they were made for TV only.

Really? I didn't know that. I do know that they switched directors after the first one. You can really tell.

You'll find Atom Egoyan's "Chloe" (2009) enjoyable then. The chemistry between Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried is, lets say, stimulating.
