I would rather let people do what they want to do, even if it means snorting cocaine off a hooker's tits if that makes them happy, as opposed to being like you and think we need to have our lives interfered with. Let me tell you something - I work in the fucking film industry and as such, the opinions that I have stated here are embraced in this town. I said it before and I will say it again, we are all whores by the standards set by conservatives like you and religious people. I love people like Robert Evans - look him up. Hell, even David Letterman was fucking his assistants - nothing wrong with that at all, if they were fine with it. Based on your high morals, Hollywood is probably a living hell for you or like Caligula - and yet you probably do watch shows like Entourage, because while you think it's evil, you can't look away.
What do you do in the film industry? I have a relative that has been in the business for over 25 years, was an executive at a major studio for a long time. I'm sure he has heard of you PM me your name.

I grant you that many colleges have become institutions of higher regurgitation. I can't put my finger on it, but Maher sounds like he learned his politics from other comedians.

My comment wasn't meant as an indictment of higher education, but was merely to note that it is perfectly possible for a person to have graduated from college without having acquired critical thinking skills, and that it is a lazy assumption to think that the fact a person has attended college is a guarantee of anything.

In fact, it is precisely that assumption that can turn mere ignoramuses into an arrogant ignoramuses.

I would be happy to praise your productions if they are decent, as I think most people would. But that doesn't make your political views any better or your attitude anymore admirable, it just makes you a slightly lesser poor excuse for a human being, and if you think that's harsh have a read through some of the things you've said in this trainwreck of a thread - oh wait I forgot that you wish to be spoonfed, case in point.

You repeat your alleged high-power movie job so much that it really indicates it's something that you want us to believe, not something that you actually do.

Liar's tip - say the lie and then move on. Don't keep coming back to it.

You really are going to call bullshit on him? I mean, pages and pages of telling us what a lefty he is and you think there's complete cognitive dissonance in his repeated assertions of huge income and high power movie job? Why, I just can't see where you find incongruency.

It is inconsistent to be anti-capitalist and yet live in oppulence. You must share your wealth and good fortune with the collective.

This threadkdk lives on because Hey Man represents a sort of HuffPo everyman; a portion of the citizenry that both amazes and baffles folks from all walks of life.

I can see why Hey Man likes him. He blames religion for all of his personal failings:

THR: Why can't you catch a break at the Emmys?

Maher: A panel of like 10 people watches one tape. If half of those people are religious, that probably eliminates me right there. A lot of people wouldn't vote for such an outspoken atheist, someone who made "Religulous."

THR: "Religulous" did quite well at the box office; any plans to make another documentary?

Maher: I have no desire to make another. I had one subject that I wanted to paint on a bigger canvas than I could in television and in a place that would live in a more permanent way. It took me 10 years to finally get a studio crazy enough to make the movie and the right director, and having made it I feel I have harpooned my Moby Dick.

Yeah, Bill.....atheism is really edgy in Hollywood. You're a f**king pioneer.

No it isn't. The best way to fight capitalism is to be the best, most greedy capitalist there is.
