Age dependant, but not that big of a deal.

I've said it to one person outside of family/best friends, and she happens to be my gf of nearly 4 years. Not saying "I love you" your whole life will help you appreciate it more when you find someone to share your love/life with.

Kinda silly to make an expectation of it (or anything in a relationship really, besides marriage after a certain point)

I dated a girl for a year, she never met my parents and all I got her for her bday was a Connect 4 game. Those are the expectations she allowed (and I was a poor student at the time). It is what it is
