Doing deadlifts with a Lasejet 4250 printer

just improvising at work when i have to do my rotational turn on saturday. it's during dead time usually later in the afternoon.

with proper form as much as possible, i lift not overhand (as it is not a bar, but the handles to lift are on the side) also the printer is bulky so i cant bring it up towards my torso but out more, using my traps and shoulders in the meantime.
it causes more of an awkward lift. but i do it carefully and the slowness and care to do one rep allows for more result i guess if done properly.

a good overall deadlift session. light. nothing heavy. it's about 50+- pounds. 15 reps. just to keep my back fit.

what do you do at work during break to do any exercise? (besides the walking and workplace gym routine if you have one)

I'm disappointed. I thought D'brickasho was going to parody metro's drunk lifting thread.

Can you maintain good form? I find that if rigor mortis hasn't set in yet, the gripping is quite hard.

Early in the morning in the office, I'll often do shrugs, deadlifts, rows with one of these 18.5L bottles in each hand. It's only a moderate weight, so will often crack out a couple of high-rep sets. Not sure on the exact weight; I understand 1L of water is supposed to weight 1kg but even taking into account the light weight of the container, these feel much heavier – could be the motion of the water..?

that's very innovative.

How's the 20lb weight loss coming along?

Obligatory IA comment: 50 pounds won't do shit. Max out on an Canon Imagerunner copier and make sure at the worst you hit your macro goals for today.

Just did some more deadlifts today. 15 rep sets with the laser jet.
50 lbs does do shit for basic guys like me just wanting to keep healthy and stay in shape. I'm not going for weightlifting mindset. These light deadlifts and light squats I do add shape and strength and actually sculpts my body like , honestly, a woman would do with her sculpting exercises, as an analogy.

The water bottles are hard. I've tried that before and it is the sloshing around of not-full containers that add to the instability.

It is supposed to be more effective though because the sloshing around hits up various other muscles to stabilize it.

I'm still doing great on the gradual weight loss thanks for asking. Nothing to be quick like I tried 2 yrs ago, more a lifestyle change of exercise and diet.

I prefer kettlebell swings to deadlifts, mainly because I just can't get the form down on a DL. For whatever reason I end up doing squats when trying to DL *shrug
