Edward green and crockett and jones fit

Thread Starter
I did a search on the forum of fitting Edward Green shoes and had no luck, so here I am. Thanks to A Harris for the e-mail on Edward Green shoes at a discount. I e-mailed the gentleman and am anxious to receive a reply with what he has to offer. Now my dilemma. I am light-years away from any shop that would carry Edward Green or Crockett and Jones shoes so need some suggestions as to what last might be best for me based on the following information. The only English shoe I have worn are Church's on the older 73 last. I wear a size 7F in that last. For reference, I also do best in a 7.5E in an Aberdeen lace-up in Alden and 8D in last #1 in Allen Edmonds. Based on that limited information, can anyone help me with a last from Edward Green or Crockett and Jones that they would recommend? I appreciate your time in doing so. Thanks to everyone for the wealth of information on this forum. I'm learning a lot.

I cannot really give you help on the Crockett and Jones last, but I can tell you that if you send an outline of your stockinged foot to Crockett and Jones, they will give you fitting advice based on that. Whether a two dimentional outline of your foot will ensure that you receive shoes that fit, or whether doing this is ethical (particularly if you do not buy your shoes directly from Crockett and Jones) is another matter. (See the thred on trying shoes on in the store then buying them on line) Bic
