I'm looking for a pair of wide-wale olive cords for the fall similar to the pair in this picture. Does anyone have any suggestions beyond thrift or B&S?

It's quite possible that a store named Epaulet will offer wide-wale UK cords this Fall in the Walt and Rudy fit Navy and Dark Brown are definites. I'm looking at a few different green and olive tones now.

Almost all of their stuff is sold out on their online store, and I don't see any cords.

What size are you? I have a pair of EG wide wale cord Cambridge pants that I would consider parting with.

RRL had some incredible wide wale cords a couple of seasons ago. You might be able to find them on Ebay. Some Polo stores may have a few on deep discount. They are a baggy fit but really really nice quality.

Sierra Trading Post has been selling wide-wale Lambourne cords for years running. The fits and styles vary.

Bills Khakis had a nice pair of 6-wale cords (pretty wide on the wale scale). I'm not really Bills fan, but I got a pair a few years ago and they still work. A little baggy, but that's what you want. The Bills site doesn't feature the 6-wale model anymore. But do a Google search, you can still find 'em. Worth a look.

JAB. No joke. Fabric is terrific. Soft and flowing, colors are really saturated, and they hold up well to washing. I've got two pair, one in chocolate, one in navy, that are only starting to show a little color loss after two seasons of weekly wear from Oct-Mar. Available in both flat-front and pleated. And, knowing JAB, they're probably on sale for something like buy one, get five free. I know Banks gets no love on SF but I love these cords.

I'm pretty sure they make cords in the M3 cut, which is somewhere between a J. Crew classic and urban slim fit - not that baggy really. Hansen's Clothing has free hemming and (I think) stock's everything Bill's makes, so you might want to check that out.

I'd also recommend Uniqlo if you have access to one. Not sure if they have any wide wales in stock atm, but I have a pair of no wale cords from there that are my favorite non-jean pants.

What kind of material is used to get that plush, sheeny look to the corduroy shown above? Most cords I've seen are nothing like that.

I prefer narrow wale cords since they don't look all frumpy, more streamlined og helmut lang steez.

Bump... Looking for cords with that plush look as seen above, but in a non-baggy straight/slim leg cut. Any suggestions?
